AbstractsAn extended method of calculation for two shells of atomic electrons, based upon the use of non-orthogonal radial orbitals, is presented. The rules for going over from the radial integrals of the ordinary method of calculation to the linear combinations of radial integrals of the extended method of calculation are given. The numerical calculations are carried out for the ground states of lithium-and beryllium-like atomic systems.
AbstractsA general theory of the extended method of calculation of atomic structures having complex configurations is presented. It is based on the correspondence between the radial integrals of the ordinary method and the linear combinations of those of the extended method. The rules for going over from the ordinary method to the extended one are given.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
