Реализуемая в настоящее время модель высшего образования модернизируется и включает в себя изменения индивидуальных качеств педагога. Целью работы явилось определение приоритетных качеств личности преподавателя медицинского вуза для реализации педагогических способностей при оптимизации образовательного процесса. Исследование проведено методом анкетирования 230 студентов и 55 педагогов Саратовского государственного медицинского университета им. В.И. Разумовского в 2018-2019 учебном году для выяснения приоритетных педагогических качеств личности преподавателя медицинского вуза. В результате исследования было выявлено, что «высокий уровень владения предметными знаниями», «понятное и доступное изложение материала», «справедливость в оценке знаний обучающихся» и «умение правильно построить занятие» явились первостепенными в соответствующих группах педагогических способностей (гностической, проектировочной, коммуникативной, конструктивной), по мнению и студентов, и педагогов. В группе организаторских способностей обучающиеся выделили среди других качеств «склонность к организаторской деятельности», а педагоги -«самообладание, самоконтроль». Большая часть студентов и педагогов предложила «доброжелательность» и «практический опыт» в качестве дополнительных педагогических качеств личности. Кроме этого, студенты высказались об отзывчивости, позитивности, объективности, любви к преподаваемой дисциплине, педагоги -об интеллигентности, эмпатии, вежливости, стрессоустойчивости, грамотности. Проведенное исследование выявило приоритетные качества личности педагога медицинского вуза в соответствующих группах педагогических способностей. Для оптимизации учебного процесса педагогам стоило бы обратить внимание на организаторскую деятельность в группах и более глубокое развитие своих коммуникативных и проектировочных способностей.
