Nach eigenen Erfahrungen an 64 Kranken mit Adialasia cardiae (sogenanntem ,,Kardiospasmus') haben alle bisher erprobten Behandlungsverfahren, sowohl konservative als auch operative, Versager oder aber, wenn sie -wie die Anastomosen-Operationendie Kardia umgehen, Nachteile, welche die Vorteile mehr oder weniger aufwiegen. Es sei auf die monographischen Darstellungen von Berchtold (1955) und von Alnor (1956 bzw. 1959, ferner auf die Arbeiten von Köle, Jenny u. a. verwiesen. Bei diesen älteren, anerkannten Verfahren ist immer die Kardia selbst und die Behebung ihrer Enge das Ziel der Behandlung gewesen.
