Water is the origin of life. 3/4 of the Earth's surface is covered by water and all living things must have water to survive. Life without water can not be considered. Despite this, of all living things only humans exploit, waste and pollute this vital natural resource. Raising awareness of the people on this issue is of great importance. At this point, environmental education is a key concept. This theoretical study aims to reveal the importance of environmental education as a solution tool for the prevention of water pollution. The study will be undertaken depending on the literature review.
Water is a very important vital resource for all living organisms. A world without water can not be imagined. However the world is running out of its most precious resource. Water resources must be protected completely before the end of life on Earth, so today management of water resources has become the main agenda topic globally. Effective protection can be provided by sustainable water management system. This study aims to demonstrate the role of sustainable water management for the protection of water resources.
Agricultural production and water resources are among the most important issues from the past to the present. The interdependence of these two concepts is quite high. As the world population increases, the needs will undoubtedly increase. Accordingly, while the demand for agricultural production increases, resources remain limited. Water is important for all sectors in the economy. Since it is the main input of agricultural production, it is of vital importance for increasing agricultural production. Excessive water withdrawal for agricultural irrigation, especially in developing countries, has a negative impact on resources. Sustainable use of water resources is getting worse with the addition of pollution problem to excessive water withdrawal. In this study, by being dealt with the impact on the water resources of irrigation in the European Union and Turkey and it will be examined whether it is sustainable or not.
