Este estudo teve como objetivo comparar três métodos de obtenção de dados para se avaliar a qualidade da arborização de ruas. As três formas de obtenção de dados foram denominadas de Método I, Método II e Método III. O estudo foi desenvolvido na cidade de Belo Horizonte-MG, abrangendo os bairros Horto e Sagrada Família. Foram avaliados a precisão dos métodos, o tempo gasto e os recursos necessários para a sua execução. A execução do Método I foi 2,4 vezes mais rápida que a do Método III e 1,6 vezes mais rápida que a execução do Método II. Já o tempo gasto para a realização do Método II, foi 1,5 vezes menor do que aquele gasto para a realização do Método III. Os custos de realização do Método III foram 5,4 vezes mais elevados que os custos de realização do Método I e 2,6 vezes maiores que aqueles do Método II. Já para a realização do Método II, gastou-se o dobro de recursos em relação ao Método I.
O manejo entre árvores e redes elétricas é de grande interesse, pois lida com benefícios inegáveis à população e ao meio ambiente. Sendo assim, este trabalho avaliou de forma quali-quantitativa o inventário-censo de árvores conflituosas com a rede elétrica da Região Oeste de Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Verificou-se que das 10.337 árvores que ocupam espaço potencialmente conflitante com a fiação, 52,76% estão entre as dez espécies mais frequentes, como Caesalpinia peltophoroides Benth. (sibipiruna), Murraya exotica L. (murta), Tibouchina granulosa (Desr.) Cogn. (quaresmeira) e Ligustrum japonicum Thunb. (alfeneiro), tendo, ainda, apresentado problemas sanitários significativos nas análises de raiz, base, tronco e copa das árvores. A ausência de espaço para o desenvolvimento das espécies, as lesões de tronco e de copa foram expressivas, separando-as em um grupo à parte na análise de agrupamento UPGMA (R²=0,9658). No entanto, apresentaram algum tipo de incompatibilidade as espécies Terminalia catappa L. (sete-copas), Lagerstroemia speciosa L. Pers. (escumilha-africana), Tabebuia heterophylla (DC.) Britton (ipê-rosado) e Bauhinia variegata L. (pata-de-vaca). As instituições responsáveis pelo manejo da arborização urbana devem priorizar as espécies que ocorrem em maior número e que apresentam os problemas de compatibilidade e sanitários, pois juntas, correspondem a uma grande parcela da população estudada.
RESUMOA fenologia estuda as mudanças ocorridas nas copas das árvores ao longo do ano, bem como analisa os fatores que influenciam tais modificações. O estudo das fenofases possibilita a tomada de decisões em outras áreas da ciência florestal. Este trabalho teve o objetivo de determinar a fenologia de dez espécies madeiráveis a partir da análise de ortofotos obtidas com Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) em uma área de floresta ombrófila densa de terra firme, com vistas à promover o uso de geotecnologias no acompanhamento fenológico. Os resultados obtidos evidenciam que o uso de UAS é eficiente para coletas fenológicas. Porém há fatores que influenciaram nesta coleta, os quais estão relacionados à velocidade do vento, incidência de nuvens, ceras cuticulares, capacidade do computador que analisou as imagens. Para que haja um processo de excelência na coleta dos dados e se permita a percepção de detalhes como floração e frutificação, quando os mesmos não possuírem cores chamativas há a necessidade de se minimizar a influência dos fatores, assim a coleta será mais precisa.
