Phase transformations in titanium alloys cannot always be determined by methods of diffraction analysis because the type of structure depends considerably on the form of heat trealxnent and the alloying elements. It is more expedient to judge the structural state and phase transformations in these alloys by the changes in their physical and mechanical properties in relation to the composition and the heat treatment. The present paper is devoted to a study of the phase equilibrium and some physical properties of titanium alloys of the Ti -W -Zr -AI system with a constant content of tungsten (6%) and zirconium (3%) and a variable content ofalurninum (o -20%).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
