One on the features which marks a sports teacher activity is that in the educational process he/she solves educational and health-improving issues as well as educational and ethical problems. When solving these problems, one must approach them equally, not allowing one of them to dominate at the expense of the others. However, in the training of soon to be teachers, the main attention is paid to the issues of physical education, the teaching side of the educational process, while forgetting the upbringing side of the educational process. In the process of students mastering their skills and abilities of pedagogical craft, it is necessary to create conditions so that the professional appearance of the sports teacher and his moral and ethical qualities are clearly formed. The article defines the main conditions for increasing the effectiveness of professional and ethical training of students in the process of teaching classes of the pedagogical cycle and during student teaching in schools. Also, using the methods of pedagogical research (pedagogical observations, conversations, student surveys), difficulties in educational work were found, as in the training conducted by students in school.
