STEAM education is an interdisciplinary teaching concept that combines art with traditional STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For children with ASD 3-4 years old in a specialized environment, the characteristics of STEAM education provide children with many opportunities, including developing children's vocabulary. This article refers to the design of vocabulary development activities for children with ASD 3-4 years old through organizing activities\classes combined with STEAM education in a specialized environment, thereby helping children develop vocabulary, receive and use vocabulary in appropriate situations.
Emotional difficulties and social interaction are two of the most difficult characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The article conducted a survey on 35 children with ASD, 55 teachers, 53 parents who are intervening in educational institutions, and showed that: Teachers and parents have initially recognized the value, aims, content, form, and methods of organizing education in emotional identification abilities in children with ASD. However, there are still numerous challenges, and the efficiency is low. Subjective elements (family, school, children themselves) and objective factors (educational programs, documentation, etc.) influence the process of teaching emotional awareness abilities to children with ASD. The lessons learned are aimed at improving the process of educating children with ASD between the ages of 5 and 6 who have emotional awareness skills.
