O presente relato visa compartilhar a experiência adquirida por discentes de medicina durante o estágio supervisionado em Saúde Coletiva em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) com o Projeto “Semana da melhor idade: promovendo saúde e multiplicando o cuidado”. Por intermédio de oficinas e rodas de conversa, foram desenvolvidas ações para a capacitação de cuidadores informais de idosos em ambiente domiciliar. Para tanto, contou-se com o papel multiplicador dos agentes comunitários de saúde (ACS), bem como dos demais integrantes da equipe da Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF). Entre as contribuições desse projeto, destaca-se a aquisição de habilidades e competências para a formação do médico generalista, tais como: a integração ensino-comunidade; a organização de atividades em educação em saúde; e o aperfeiçoamento técnico/humanístico no cuidado integral ao idoso. Conclui-se que este projeto foi capaz de alcançar o intuito inicial proposto, indo para além dos muros teóricos da universidade e compartilhando com a comunidade conhecimentos adquiridos na graduação.
Os meningiomas correspondem aos tumores cerebrais primários benignos mais comuns, representando de 13% a 26 % dos tumoresintracranianos. Apresentam maior incidência no sexo feminino, sendo a exposição a radiação ionizante o principal fator de risco.São divididos em 3 grupos pela OMS, sendo o grau I o mais comum e menos agressivo. Possuem crescimento lento e são muitas vezessilenciosos, podendo cursar com alterações psiquiátricas quando localizados na fossa anterior com efeito compressivo sobre os lobosfrontais, porém esta manifestação é rara. Apresentamos o caso de uma paciente de 68 anos que apresentava sintomas psiquiátricosdesde 2012 e, após 6 anos, evoluiu com deterioração neurológica súbita, tendo o diagnóstico tardio de meningioma frontal gigante.Destacamos a importância da pesquisa de causa orgânica para manifestação psiquiátrica em determinado grupo de pessoas, nointuito de diagnóstico e tratamento precoce, melhorando sobrevida e qualidade de vida dos pacientes.
