Alienação Parental (AP) refere-se a uma forma de abuso psicológico em que um dos pais (geralmente o genitor não-custodiante) manipula um filho para que ele desenvolva um afastamento emocional e/ou ligações limitadas com o genitor não-alienante. Uma pesquisa bibliográfica narrativo-crítica foi realizada para avaliar as diferentes temáticas que envolvem a alienação parental. Para isso, foram usadas fontes de informação como livros jurídicos e artigos de revistas científicas dos bancos de dados Pubmed, Bireme-BVS, Scielo, Medline, Lilacs, Scopus e PsycInfo. Esta forma de abuso pode se manifestar de diversas formas, como um genitor que desencoraja o filho de ver o outro, a criança sendo incentivada a expressar desprezo ou desrespeito ao genitor não-alienante, ou um genitor fazendo alegações falsas contra o outro. Se não tratada, a AP pode ter profundas consequências sobre o bem-estar psicológico e social da criança. É importante que, se houver suspeita de alienação parental, se procure ajuda profissional para tratar o problema.
