The research was carried out aimed at solving problems in selecting the best administrative staff at the Vita Insani Hospital. This problem is overcome by designing a decision support system that is able to help decision makers to select the best administrative staff. This DSS was designed using the Elimination Et Choix Traduisant La Realite (ELECTRE) method. From the results of this study it is concluded that the Electre method is very appropriate to use as a decision support tool where the best alternative is the Vita_staff_001 administrative staff which eliminates other alternatives by having a value of 1 as much as 3 which is more than the value of 1 for the other alternatives.
The aims of this research are to classify Metaphors in Batak Toba Song Lyrics (Mother's Love Theme).This research used Kovecse’s theory (2010) said that there are three types of Metaphor: Structural Metaphors, Ontological Metaphors, and Orientational Metaphors. The method in this research applied qualitative method. The data were collected by downloading eight collection of Batak Toba Song Lyrics (Mother's Love Theme), listening them, transcribing them in English Language, identifying and putting them into table.The data were also analyzed by analyzing the data, classifying the data, deciding the research findings, and drawing the conclusion. The result in this research, there are 21 the data found in eight collection of Batak Toba Song Lyrics (Mother's Love Theme), namely 5 structural (23, 80%), 10 ontological (47,61%), and 6 orientational (28,57%). Therefore, a number of selected Bataknese songs were dominated by ontological metaphor
Service quality is one of the most important in government services because society will give good value from the services of their community. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the influence of the quality of public services on community satisfaction in Simalungun district, This study used a qualitative method and the data was collected by using questioner and observation method . The sample is using 100 samples with random sampling. The data collected then tested the validity and reliability and then analyzed using linear analysis using SPSS. From this study, it can be seen that there is a positive and significant influence on service satisfaction in the Dolok Batu Nanggar sub-district of 53.8% while 46.2% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. For further research can be develoedp using relationship management or loyalty variable.
This research was about applying HOTS question on students’ writing ability in report text at Business MurniSadar Polytechnic , which the problem of this research was “What extent to the students’ writing ability in report text by applying HOTS question at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic ?” and the objective of this research was to find out the extent of students’ writing ability in report text by applying high order thinking skill (HOTS) question at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic. The method that used in this research was quantitative research design. The population of this research was students of Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic Population of this research were 100 students. The sample of this research were 60 students with divided into 30 students as experimental class and 30 students of as control class. The analysis of this research showed that the mean score of pre-test of the experimental group was 53, 566 and control group was 54, 1. The mean of post-test of the experimental group was 82, 066 and control group was 67, 033. Testing hypothesis showed that t-test (4,0003) was higher than t-table (1,671) at level of significant 5% for two tailed test. It meant that applying HOTS Question on students’ writing ability in report text gave a good contribution. Based on the result, it can be seen that the students’ writing ability in report text increased. It meant that there was an extent (improvement) of students’ writing ability in report text by applying HOTS Question at Business Murni Sadar Polytechnic.Keywords: Host Question, Report Text, High Order Thinking Skill.
The aims of this study were to identify the types of positive and negative politeness strategies and to find out the most dominant type of positive and negative politeness strategies found in Ome TV by Fiki naki on Youtube. The theory of politeness strategies was by Brown and Levinson (1987). The research method was descriptive qualitative research with content analysis, because the data were collected from document. The researchers chose 4 videos and title first “cewek paling cute and sweet” in Ome TV launched in February 5th, 2021 with a duration of 17 minutes, second “Fiki naki seneng banget ketemu calon istri baru cantik” launched in October 4th, 2021 with a duration of 13 minutes 19 second, third “ Ciwi ciwi Norwegia histeris karna ini”, launched in April 19th 2021 with duration 19 minutes 33 second , fourth “Aku Buat Heboh Cewe - Cewe Di Ome TV” launched in April 14th 2021 with duration 18 minutes 33 second. There were some steps in collecting the data, such as: familiarizing and organizing, coding and reducing, interpreting and representing. The result showed that there were 38 Positive and Negative politeness strategies found in Ome TV by Fiki naki on Youtube, they were: positive politeness 30 (79%), negative politeness 8(21%) . The most dominant type of politeness strategies found in Talk Show by Jimmy Fallon was Positive Politeness. Positive Politeness was done by speaker and hearer to made enjoyable situation, build good relation, good interaction. In conclusion, with this research we must be careful when used a language to communicate with other so that the conversation become run well.
