This work develops a mathematical model of a quarter car suspension system with two degrees of freedom and suggests a fuzzy adaptive PID controller by assessing the drawbacks of conventional control methods. The three PID parameters are automatically modified by fuzzy control, and the PID parameters are adjusted in real time. The Matlab/Simulink platform is used to create the relevant simulation model. The simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the fuzzy adaptive PID control system suggested in this study by demonstrating a reduction in the Sprung Mass Acceleration by 17.85%, the Suspension Working Space by 14.42%, and the Dynamic Tyre Load by 9.48%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
