Exercise-induced PH is common even in subjects with normal LVEF. It is strongly associated with E/E' ratio, TR velocity, age, systolic blood pressure during exercise and gender.
Exercise-induced PH provides prognostic information in subjects with preserved LV ejection fraction. The excess risk of exercise-induced PH is restricted to subjects with an increase in estimated LV filling pressure during exercise.
High plasma adiponectin and resistin levels were predictors for all-cause mortality independent of other risk factors in patients with acute MI. These results confirmed and extended the positive correlations between these adipokines and mortality to a population consisting exclusively of MI.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
