The Asian-Pacific region is a complex air-sea interaction area and an important water vapor channel in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. In this region, there is Hadley circulation, monsoon and cross equatorial flow in the meridional direction and Walker circulation and Indian Ocean Walker circulation in the zonal direction. Because of the complexity of this region, Asian-Pacific summer precipitation is affected by many factors, such as monsoons, atmospheric circulation, Indian and Pacific Ocean sea surface temperatures (SSTs).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
