The purpose of study is to develop service for social reintegration for people with stroke. The people with stroke usually suffer from brain diseases and accidents, and have difficulty in going back to social life due to the lack of their physical and cognitive ability. They are experienced frustration in their disability acceptance process, and a variety of personal and social problems may arise due to the avoidance of social activities through relationship with family and their others. The hospital-based social reintegration program have also running and include psychological support, family support, leisure support, career support, social experience, living environment support, and linking of community resources. However, it is necessary for the community to continue to provide social reintegration training after discharging from the hospital. To develop community-based social reintegration service, we investigated demographic characteristics of people with stroke, and current status of hospital-based social reintegration program for people with stroke. Also, we look for social reintegration contents using science and technology. Numerical solutions are providing hospitals in Korea for enhancing social reintegration for people with stroke including providing rehabilitation information, emotional support, leisure activities, and various social activities. Those hospitalbased programs are constantly motivating people with stroke and their families for returning to the community. However, people with stroke can stay for up to three months, and there are not enough facilities available for receiving programs when returning to the society. Therefore, it is necessary to provide social reintegration program in the community even after the hospital discharge. It is expected that science and technology will help people with stroke to return to society. Now we are suggesting building ecosystem of returning to the community through science and technology. It will develop a comprehensive solution for social reintegration based on science and technology contents, which enables socially reintegrated for people with stroke. This solution makes it possible for people with stroke to interact with friends and family members, and it will also help to lay the foundation for rehabilitation contents industrialization.
