Este estudo objetiva investigar a realidade das mulheres que trabalham no turismo rural da região de Planaltina-DF. Contribui, portanto, para a temática gênero e turismo, sobremaneira, relacionando ao turismo rural. Este, enquanto submodalidade do Turismo no Espaço Rural (TER), surge como segmento do campo e integra a gama de atividades não agrícolas que passaram a ser desenvolvidas no campo nos últimos anos como estratégia de manutenção e sobrevivência. Simultânea a essas mudanças funcionais do espaço rural, observam-se novas formas de organização da vida familiar, no qual a proximidade entre as tarefas realizadas no ambiente doméstico com a atividade turística no meio rural permite a reestruturação das funções e da divisão de trabalho entre gêneros. Dessa forma, este estudo foi realizado no Circuito Rajadinha, Projeto criado em 2014 na região de Planaltina-DF. Das 10 propriedades que compõem o Circuito, oito participaram do estudo e dessas 10 mulheres foram investigadas. Este trabalho caracteriza-se como estudo de caso de cunho qualitativo. Aplicou-se um roteiro de entrevista semi-estruturado na busca de entender a realidade das mulheres que atuam diretamente no desenvolvimento do turismo rural no Circuito. Constatou-se que o turismo rural promovido estabelece uma relação positiva entre mulheres e homens envolvidos. Observou-se que no Circuito a mão de obra feminina não é vista apenas como atividade complementar, mas atua como elemento essencial para a manutenção do turismo rural nas propriedades investigadas e assume papel principal desse cenário rural.
O artigo reflete acerca da relação entre acessibilidade e inclusão social para pessoas com deficiência ou mobilidade reduzida (PDMR) – pessoas com deficiência física, intelectual ou sensorial e pessoas na terceira idade – via turismo. O sistema turismo brasileiro está se preparando para a Copa Mundial de Futebol FIFA 2014 e para os Jogos Olímpicos e Paraolímpicos 2016, no Rio de Janeiro. Foi analisado o caso de Socorro, um destino turístico a 130 km de São Paulo (SP). Socorro foi reconhecida pelas múltiplas iniciativas em turismo acessível e inclusivo focalizadas nas PDMR como turistas, infraestrutura pública e organizações hoteleiras adaptadas a esse segmento. Essas organizações têm buscado ainda a inclusão social e inserção econômica dos PDMR – como empregados. Os resultados mostram que – comparada às normas de acessibilidade nacionais e internacionais – Socorro pode ser percebida como destino referência, embora haja melhorias a serem realizadas.
O artigo reflete sobre a relação entre Acessibilidade e Sustentabilidade focalizando as Pessoas com Deficiência ou Mobilidade Reduzida (PDMR) - aí incluídas pessoas com algum tipo de deficiência sensorial ou motora, pessoas na denominada "terceira idade", pessoas com obesidade, grávidas, pais com filhos até 5anos de idade e outros. Analisa a perspectiva do turismo no Brasil nos próximos anos, partindo do cenário atual de preparação para a realização de mega eventos esportivos, dentre os quais a Copa do Mundo FIFA 2014 contrapondo-se à crise econômica global. Destaca-se as PDMR como um segmento turístico com grande potencial de crescimento, desde que seja fornecida infraestrutura pública e nos equipamentos turísticos para o seu melhor atendimento. O artigo focaliza as PDMR como turistas, discutindo como está a adaptação do setor hoteleiro de Brasília para o pleno atendimento das necessidades dessas pessoas e trata ainda da inserção econômica e inclusão social das PDMR como colaboradores dessas organizações. Dentre os dados coletados na pesquisa de campo, salienta-se que: dos 29 hotéis pesquisados, 23 afirmam que possuem instalações adaptadas. Destes, 20 adaptaram suas instalações por exigência da lei. A maioria (26 hotéis) aparenta estar preocupada ou já preparada para um potencial aumento de demanda. 21 entrevistados consideram que há uma procura frequente da parte de hóspedes pertencentes à terceira idade. Nas conclusões, são elencadas algumas sugestões visando a melhoria da acessibilidade e sustentabilidade da rede hoteleira de Brasília. Estimula-se ainda o aprofundamento das pesquisas sobre o tema.
Este artigo tem o objetivo de analisar a acessibilidade para pessoas com deficiência visual no setor hoteleiro. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre as peculiaridades da deficiência visual e o turismo para essas pessoas. O estudo se caracteriza como exploratório, onde empregou-se um roteiro de entrevista e um roteiro de observação, ambos aplicados em 30 hotéis localizados nos setores norte e sul de Brasília. A coleta de dados contou com a colaboração do presidente da Associação de Amigos dos Deficientes Visuais de Brasília, permitindo uma análise mais profunda. O levantamento conclui que a maioria dos hotéis não era acessível para deficientes visuais e os funcionários destes não receberam treinamento para atender essas pessoas. Constatou-se também que os estabelecimentos investigados não receberam a visita de um órgão fiscalizador, o que leva a reflexão de que a falta de fiscalização pode acarretar no descumprimento das leis e normas.
Um dos maiores desafios da sociedade brasileira é o enfrentamento da questão da igualdade e da exclusão social. Estima-se que existam aproximadamente 45 milhões de pessoas com deficiência no Brasil (IBGE, 2010), muitas delas ainda impedidas de usufruir de atividades de lazer e de turismo devido às suas limitações físicas e à falta de adaptação do meio. O objetivo deste artigo consiste em verificar se as políticas públicas de turismo voltadas para pessoas com deficiência (PCD) têm conseguido atender as demandas por inclusão desse segmento, além disso visa obter a percepção dessas pessoas quanto ao processo de inclusão. O foco desse estudo, portanto, refere-se as pessoas que nasceram ou adquiriram algum tipo de limitação permanente, não sendo objeto desse levantamento pessoas que tiveram limitações físicas temporárias e/ou esporádicas ou ainda que possuam mobilidade reduzida. Em termos metodológicos, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória de caráter qualitativa por meio de entrevistas com roteiros semiestruturados. Participaram da pesquisa 9 gestores escolhidos entre representantes do Poder Público, de associações representativas do trade turístico privado e de associações de pessoas com deficiência. A partir das entrevistas com as organizações públicas, tendo em vista a diversidade das ações e suas características, foi proposta a classificação dos programas/ações de governo. Como resultados, a pesquisa aponta que o Poder Público tem atentado para a problemática e buscado criar e implementar políticas direcionadas a esse segmento. No entanto, as pessoas com deficiência consideram que o que tem sido feito não é suficiente para incluí-las, de fato, nas atividades turísticas e dizem que não estão sendo escutadas suficientemente. Todas as associações de deficientes mencionaram que as limitações/dificuldades do meio dificultam a realização do turismo. Percebeu-se ainda que a iniciativa privada não considera a pessoa com deficiência como público consumidor e que não são feitas pesquisas para conhecer o perfil e as necessidades desse segmento. Tanto a iniciativa privada quanto as associações de PCD, demonstraram pouco conhecimento em relação à legislação e às políticas que envolvem o turismo para esse segmento. Concluiu-se que, de uma maneira geral, os grupos tendem a repassar parte de sua responsabilidade aos outros grupos: o Poder Público alega que não pode fazer tudo sozinho; já os empresários não parecem muito interessados e jogam a responsabilidade da falta de acessibilidade para o governo.
