This study is based on the results of the OECD (2018) structured survey of 1,093 teachers at universities in Australia, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Georgia, Malta, Vietnam, Turkey, and Argentina, examined policy, the practice of cultural characteristics in training specialists, and teachers' attitudes to cultural diversity. The attitude and perception of cultural features by teachers does not determine the practice of forming a cultural environment and managing this environment to ensure quality education of students of different nations. The main culturological aspects of training are self-expression of cultural and ethnic identities, expression of cultural characteristics and their value through multicultural activities in universities, teaching students to combat ethnic or cultural discrimination. Therefore, the formation of a multicultural environment in higher education occurs through the activities of students and teachers, which complement each other.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the system of art education and its role in the conservation and dissemination of culture in a globalized world, and to find out the current scenario of dance forms and the way they are affected by global developments and their future. This study was also aimed to focus on the teaching of these art forms, as well as modern and foreign dance forms in Ukraine and around the world, and to examine the element of choreography in modern arts education. Both qualitative as well as quantitative methods of data collection were used. Data collection took the form of primary research (a survey consisting of 2 questions related to dance education and choreography) and secondary research (a set of 11 major articles). The survey was conducted on 51 dancers (teachers and students of fine arts) and the questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Artists of pure traditional descent still believe in reviving traditional forms of dance in their true form, rather than combining them with other contemporary styles. The participants were of the opinion that the popularity of dance education is falling in popularity over the years, and also do not see the fusion genre of choreography as authentic or sharing the traditional or cultural values of the traditional dance forms. The results also showed that the system of art education is an efficient manner of transferring knowledge about the choreography of traditional and modern dance forms all across the world and that people associate traditional dance forms with cultural identity. Our study indicated a continuing legacy of art education for dance forms and their choreography for the coming generations, also the continuous existence of the traditional and modern art forms in their original and fused forms.
Recently, the prevailing trend is that graduates do not work in their profession; the purpose of the article is to study ways to improve the effectiveness of social and professional self-determination of students. The authors conducted an empirical study of the causes of this phenomenon and identified the main ones (the choice was made for the student by his parents; in the process of studying, the student became disillusioned with the chosen profession; the chosen profession does not bring the necessary earnings; did not find a job in the speciality). The article noted that the percentage of work in the profession depends on how long ago the specialist graduated from the university. The authors identified what causes could be eliminated in the process of teaching students. Having analyzed the existing pedagogical methods for students' more confident social and professional self-determination, the authors proposed the conceptual foundations of pedagogical support for students' social and professional self-determination. These recommendations will make it possible to correct students' social and professional self-determination in their speciality. The authors proposed an algorithm that allows to visually and transparently determine the student's attitude to the chosen speciality and ways to persuade the student to look for a job and work in the profession and the necessary tools for this. The proposed dual approach to adjusting the socio-professional self-determination of students will allow them to identify the problem at an early stage, track it and fix it with adjustment. Research has shown that there are several main reasons why a student does not work in a profession. All these reasons, in our opinion, are subject to correction in the learning process. The main feature of success is the desire of the university to identify such students at an early stage, a developed adjustment mechanism and constant control and monitoring. A further promising direction of research is the development of questionnaires that can identify this problem and a mechanism for attracting artificial intelligence that can guide each student individually and signal when the university's intervention is necessary.
