Pathogenetically, COVID-19 is characterized by the presence of a virus in the circulatory system, local and general systemic autoimmune process, excessive activity of the coagulation cascade, endotheliopathy, hypoxia, which leads to the development of micro- and macrothrombosis and adverse pregnancy outcomes.
