The tempestuous and rapid development of biometric technologies based on both the static and dynamic identification signs of a person could not bypass one of the important spheres of life in modern society – the fight against crime. Most of the solutions related to personal identification by papillary patterns, iris and retina of the eye, drawing of veins on the arm and thermographic face cards are widely used in the access control and management systems, systems for protecting the automated information systems from unauthorized access to information. At the same time, the use of those signs in the investigation and disclosure of crimes is just beginning to be introduced into the activities of the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation. The use of the information systems in that area can significantly increase the effectiveness of the fight against crime, especially crimes against the person. Of particular interest is the use of data on the phenotypic signs of the suspect in the investigation of crimes, i.e. information about his height, weight, hair color, eyes, skin tone, and blood group. The article discusses the basic principles of creating an automated information system for identifying a person based on biological material left by persons who were present at the crime scene. It defines the complex of organizational and scientific issues that need to be solved when creating a system, ensuring its information security and software implementation. Also it proposes an algorithm for two-stage searching the information stored in the databases of the ISOD (UDS) services, based on modern data processing methods.
Information technologies are entering the life of modern society by leaps and bounds, sometimes radically changing its image. The influence of information technologies on changing the cultural and spiritual space of many countries is perceptible too. A new phenomenon of modern culture has gone into society – the virtual museum, which has faced completely new problems that real museums have not experienced before. These problems are associated with ensuring the cyber security of virtual museums. The article discusses the features of virtual museums, their advantages and disadvantages compared with real ones. Special attention is given to the information security of virtual museums. The author has found a large number of research and publications deals with virtual museums. However, they practically do not touch on issues related to the cyber security of the object under study. Threats of virtual museums and attacks against ones are analyzed in the article. Security variants against threats are offered.
The issues of robotization are currently becoming more and more relevant. It is especially true for the law enforcement agencies, where robotization issues are given the closest attention. The article provides a general approach to solving the issue of robotization of a number of functions related to the processes of the airfield technical support for aviation formations of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation using the example of an aviation unit. It analyzes the existing technical component of the divisions of aerodrometechnical and engineering-aviation support of aviation formations and formulates the proposals for their re-equipment with robotic complexes. At the same time, the relation of the aviation unit to military aviation or to specialpurpose aviation does not matter. The authors outline tasks solved in the process of aerodrome technical support, regardless of the type of aerodrome basing, and the potential possibility for robotization of those processes. A draft mathematical model has been developed for the joint use of ground-based robotic systems with different degrees of mobility when interacting with each other at the airfields of the Russian Guard and at joint-based airfields. The mathematical model takes into account the limitations, both those formed in the regulatory legal documents for the functioning of state aviation and the aviation of the National Guard, and those associated with the specifics of the functioning of aviation equipment and equipment for airfield technical support.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
