The density, viscosity, and refractive index of binary mixtures consisting of ethyl-butyrate + 1-propanol, 2-methyl-1-propanol, 1-butanol, 3-methyl-1-butanol, or 1-hexanol have been measured at atmospheric pressure and over the temperature range from (288.15 to 323.15) K. Excess and deviation functions have been calculated from these data and fitted to the Redlich−Kister equation. The values of excess molar volume and deviation functions were further used in the analysis of molecular interactions present in the mixture as well as the temperature influence on them.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
