Character is someone who appears in the story such as in short stories, novels, dramas, or movies. In this research, the researcher would like to analyze the characterization of the characters in the short movie entitled IBU. The research problems of this research are 1). How is the characterization of the characters? 2). What moral value that we got from the movie?. The purpose of this research is to know the characterization of the characters and to know the moral values that can we get. This research used qualitative descriptive to analyze and interpret the research object in the short movie entitled IBU. The researchers used table analysis in collecting the data. After that, the researchers explain and describe the result based on the table and made a conclusion. Based on the result, the researcher found the characterization of the characters. It is found that Gerry was an antagonist character while the mother was a protagonist character.
The da’wah method of KHR. Syamsul Arifin and KHR. As'ad Syamsul Arifin in instilling aqidah Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah An-Nahdliyah using Syair Aqaid Saeket and how to make it exist untill now are the interesting and necessary topic for this research. With qualitative method that focuses on content analysis and empirical data, the results of the study is concluded as follows: First, Syair Aqaid saeket is a beautiful verse written by two Ulama which contains fifty aqaid, the names of the Prophets, the book of Allah, Malaikat, the pillars of Islam and the pillars of Islamic faith which is a completed-enough summary of aqidah Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah An-Nahdliyah. Second, the method of da'wah in this verse is da'wah bi al-qalam and bi al-lisan by using the psychological and cultural approach, namely regional language (Madura). Third, the everlastingness of this verse is supported by several factors; the method of habituation or repetition, spreading by the students, graduates, sympathizers, and several jam'iyah, and also because of the figures of the two authors.
This study aimed to assess the student's reading comprehension level and the difficulties that the students faced in reading. The writer conducted this study at Senior High School 2 Pasuruan, especially the 11th-grade students in Language Programs. This study focused on the student's reading ability level and the difficulties that the students faced in reading. The writer used survey research designs in conducting this study. The participants of this study were 30 students. In collecting the data, the writer distributed closed-ended questionnaires, which consisted of 29 questions with a 4-point scale (always, sometimes, rarely, and never). The result showed that 47% of students faced many problems or difficulties understanding the reading text. While 37% of students sometimes found difficulties in reading an English passage, 16% of the students who chose "rarely" indicate that the difficulty they faced was not really challenging for them. In conclusion, it was found that many students still have difficulties comprehending the text. The study implies that the influencing factors in reading must be addressed.
