Clove (Syzygium aromaticum L.) is one type of spice plant that has high antioxidant content because of the high eugenol compounds. However, isolating these bioactive compounds require a significant amount of biomass. A known alternative solution to overcome the problems is through the utilization of endophytic bacteria in clove leaves. Endophytic cloves leaf bacteria can be a good antioxidant resource. Endophytic bacteria are bacteria that grow in plant tissues that is not pathogenic, which can replace these plants. The aim of this study is isolating endophytic bacterial from clove leaves, screening endophytic bacteria, determining potential endophytic bacteria as producer antioxidant compounds, and identifying potential isolate using 16S rRNA. This study used endophytic bacteria isolated from clove leaves (Syzygium aromaticum L.). Antioxidant activity determined using DPPH method. It was founded 7 isolates of endophytic bacteria namely WDY1, WDY2, WDY3, WDY4, WDY5, WDY6, and WDY7. The isolate WDY6 shows the highest antioxidant activity. WDY6 isolate is identical to Staphylococcus sp. with a 100% similarity. Staphylococcus sp. has the highest antioxidant activity in the stationary phase. The content of chemical compounds from WDY6 isolates is p yrazine that belongs to alkaloids.
Abstract. Pertiwi MP, Saputri DD. 2020. Golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) as an alternative protein source in Pasupati catfish (Pangasius sp.) fish feed. Nusantara Bioscience 12: 162-167. Research on efforts to conserve golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) meat has been done. This research aimed to utilize the snail meat as an alternative feed for the Pasupati catfish (Pangasius sp.). The research was carried out from May to August 2020. It began by collecting Pomacea canaliculata by hand sorting then processed into artificial feed/pellets. The research was CRD designed with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Pasupati catfish juvenil measuring 7.4 ± 0.8 cm and weighing 11.7 ± 0.5 g, was maintained for 21 days with a stocking density of 15 individuals/aquarium. Feeding as much as 8% of the biomass with a frequency of feeding 3 times a day at satiation. Variables measured were SGR, L, RP, FCR, and SR. The results showed that feed B produced the best fish growth and could be an alternative fish feed without having a negative effect on growth and feed utilization. Feed B (90% fish meal + 10% Pomacea canaliculata meat meal) had the highest SGR value and was supported by a high PR value and a low FCR value. In addition, there is a difference among variables, despite least significant. ANOVA test also supports the differences between treatments, but HSD test (p<0,05) is not significantly different. This means that the addition of the percentage of P. canaliculata meat meal to the feed does not provide a good performance of the Pasupati catfish. Value of abiotic parameters was to support fish farming.
Purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) leaves are extremely versatile that possesses high value. Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) leaves have secondary metabolism compounds that used as antibacterial and antifungal. The content of secondary metabolite compounds contained in plants an important role in providing antibacterial and antifungal activity so that this study was conducted to develop the utilization of purple sweet potato leaves through phytochemical screening. Phytochemical screening aims to provide an overview of the class of compounds contained in purple sweet potato leaf plants including of alkaloids, steroids-triterpenoids, saponins, flavonoids, and tannins test. Samples were taken from the local community of Bogor. The extract is made by extracting the simplicia of positive purple sweet potato leaves containing alkaloid, steroids-triterpenoids, saponins, flavonoids, and tannins. Further identification of active compounds was performed by Gass Cromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) analysis to detect the active compound contained in purple sweet potato leaf extract more specifically. GC-MS analysis results show several active compounds including: 1.4-Benzenediol (CAS) Hydroquinone, Benzenesulfonic acid 4-hydroxy (CAS), Hexadecanoic acid (CAS) Palmitic acid.
This study aims to determine: The Effect of Price, Product Quality and Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction at Indoprint Kaltim Mandiri Samarinda Printing. The sample was taken using the Slovin formula with a total of 97 respondents. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, the data presented is data obtained from the respondents' answers, using arithmetic tools with the SPSS version 22 program and analyzing the value of multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate the variable Price (X1), Product Quality (X2), and Service Quality (X3) have a positive effect on Customer Satisfaction (Y), but only the Price variable has a significant result and is the most dominant. The closeness of the relationship between Price, Product Quality and Service Quality to Consumer Satisfaction in choosing the Indoprint Kaltim Mandiri Samarinda printing company is 0.922, with the value from the interpretation table correlation coefficient 0.80 - 1.00. This is able to explain that there is a very strong relationship between Price, Product Quality and Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction in choosing the Indoprint Kaltim Mandiri Samarinda printing company. Price, product quality and service quality affect consumer satisfaction by 85.00%. These results indicate that 85.00% of which affects customer satisfaction by the factors of price, product quality and service quality, while 15.00% is influenced by other factors not examined by this study.
The growth of golden apple snails is very rapid and causes losses of paddy production. Therefore snails are also called pest, especially agricultural pest. Control of golden apple snails can be done by physical hand sorting and then processed into animal feed. Based on research golden apple snails proven have good nutritional content. Efforts to use golden apples nails pets become useful things such as animal feed is a sustainable conservation. Therefore, this study aims to carry out secondary metabolites identification, proximate testing, and antioxidant content of golden apple snails as an initial reference for the basic ingredients of animal feed manufacturing. The method use is hand sorting of golden apple snails at the research location, then brought to the laboratory to carry out the process of secondary metabolites identification, proximate testing, and antioxidant analysis. The results showed a golden apple snails (Pomacea canaliculata L.) extract containing active compunds of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and polyphenols, steroids, and glycoside. Proximate analysis showed that golden apple snails extract had a high protein content of 40,83% compared to carbohydrates and fats. These findings suggested that golden apple snailsmeat extract has the potential to be further utilized as an alternative feed for Pangasius sp.Keywords: golden apple snails.
