OBER DIE ELIMINIERBARK EIT VON DEFINITIONSSCHEMATA IN DER THEORIE DER REKURSIVEN FUNKTIONEN von DIETER RODDING in Munster (Westfalen) 1. I n der Theorie der rekursiven zahlentheoretischen Punktionen spielen gewisse Definitionsschemata eine ausgezeichnete Rolle bei der Charakterisierung von Teilklassen der Klasse % aller rekursiven zahlentheoretischen Funktionen. Das ubliche Vorgehen ist dabei, daS man eine Teilklasse 9 von R als die Gesamtheit aller derjenigen Punktionen einfiihrt, die sich aus einer bestimmten Klasse 2, von ,,Anfangsfunktionen" durch eine endliche (aber unbeschriinkte) Zahl von Anwendungen bestimmter Definitionsschemata erzeugen lassen ; wir wollen bei einer derartigen Situation sagen, die Klasse $t sei der ,,AbschluS" von Po mit diesen Definitionsschemata. $? ist demnach festgelegt durch die Angabe eines (nicht notwendig endlichen) Systems e0 von Anfangsfunktionen und eines endlichen Systems von Definitionsschemata. In dieser Weis! erklkrt und in der einschliigigen Literatur eingehcnder behandelt sind z. B. die Klasse $ der ,,primitiv rekursiven" Funktionen, die Klasso Q der ,,elementaren Funktionen" und eino unendliche Folge von Klassen E,f (n 2 0) mit den Eigenschaften (vgl. [2]). Auch die Klasse R ist der Abschlul3 eines (endlichen) Systems von Anfangsfunktionen mit endlich vielen Definitionsschemata. Von gewissen dieser Schemata werden wir im folgenden Gebrauch machen. Wir betrachten zuniichst das Schema der Einsetzung. Hier unterscheidet man zwei Varianten, die wir als ,,globale Einsetzung" GE und als ,,lokale Einsetzung" LE bezeichnen wollen. Die , ,globale Einsetzung" GE ist eigentlich ein System vonunendlich vielen Definitionsschemata GET (n 2 1 , m 2 0 ) ; das Schema GEF gestattet den Obergang von einer vorgegebenen n-stelligen Funktion f und ~t vorgegebenen m-stelligen Funktionen g, , . . . , g,, zu derjenigen m-stelligen Funktion h , die durch die Gleichung h = A % . . . % f ( 9 1 ( % . . . . * r , , r ) r . . . > Bn(%, . * * > gegeben ist.')
