Women are closely related to the word feminism. Women are very interesting to study, because women have a very important role. Likewise with documentaries that talk about emancipation. This study aims to describe the reality of women's lives during the Dutch colonial period, as well as their relationship with feminism in the perspective of Naomi Wolf. Naomi Wolf is a feminist figure who speaks out loud about women's rights and gender justice. This research method is descriptive qualitative with Naomi Wolf's feminist approach model. The object of this research is the film Kartini by Hanung Bramantyo. The source of research data is documentary data or dialogue in the Kartini film. The data in this study were obtained from the Listening and Recording Techniques. Data analysis was carried out by synchronizing data with Naomi Wolf's feminist theory. The results of this study are the existence of feminist thought movements from Naomi Wolf's perspective which include (1) women and the way of life, (2) women's emancipation movement, (3) women and the expression of truth, (4) women and the principles of life, (5) ideas for women and girls. Women, (6) women's human rights and (7) the rise of women's education. This research is important to do so that gender inequality that occurred during the Dutch colonial period does not happen again today.
Distortion of women's rights is a difficult problem to eliminate due to the patriarchal culture in society. This study aims to: (1) describe the forms of distortion of women's rights in Nawal El-Saadawi's Suquth Al-Imam based on Naomi Wolf's perspective; (2) describe the form of resistance to the distortion of women's rights in Nawal El-Saadawi's Suquth Al-Imam based on Naomi Wolf's perspective. This descriptive qualitative research takes the primary data source from the novel "Suquth Al-Imam" by Nawal El-Saadawi. After the data are collected from reading and note-taking techniques, the data are validated by increasing persistence, triangulation, and discussion. Then, the data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research are: (1) the forms of distortion of women's rights in this novel are the right to take part in government organizations, the rights in education and teaching, the rights in the fields of profession and employment, the rights in carrying out legal actions, and the rights in marital relations; (2) the forms of resistance to the distortion of women's rights in the novel are independence, altruism, persistence, chauvinism, and revolutionaries.
The period of Arab literature was divided into the political age, the pre-Islamic period, the Islamic era, the Umayyad era, the Abbasia era, the Andalusian era, the era of the Mamalik, and the modern era. Because of the Umayyah caliphate and the Abbasia caliphate, the long period of politics extends. Political problems emerged from within the caliphate and therefore have a lot to do with Arab literature. The researcher used the descriptive and historical method. The result of this research on the characteristics of the Arabic literature in the period between the Umayyah and Abbasia Caliphate, are: 1) The poetry expresses the conditions obtained from the historical facts of war, 2) encouraging in its later stages, 3) the use of clear words and structures in the body Poem and poetry.Keywords: Arab literature, period of transition of government, Umayyah caliphate, Abbasih caliphate
This study aims to describe, analyze the cause, and offer some alternative solutions to the problem of Arabic pronunciation disorders in the students of the madrasah ibtidaiyah in Malang city. With the consideration that the earlier the problem of pronunciation disorders in madrassa students is known, the sooner the cause and solution can be known. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained in this study are a) there are four types of Arabic pronunciation disorders in madrasah ibtidaiyah’s students in Malang city, namely: omission, substitution, distortion and addition. The most numerous forms are omissions, and the least are additions; b) there are three factors that cause pronunciation disorders in students of madrasah ibtidaiyah in Malang city: psychiatric factors, physical factors and social factors; c) the solutions that can be used to overcome pronunciation disorders in students also involve three factors: psychiatric factors, physical factors, social factors, and learning factors.
Speech act is one of the theories to study utterance in the scope of pragmatics. Because utterance is not only orally but also in written, this study describes theory of speech act in the tweets on twitter. This study concerns with the twitter of Hamdan bin Muhammad's account, a crown prince of Dubai. The formulation of the problem in this study is the various speech acts in Hamdan bin Muhammad's tweets on twitter. It used descriptive-qualitative methods with the primary data source Muhammad's story on Twitter. The secondary data sources comprise comments of the tweets, books and journals related to pragmatics and speech act theory. The results show the existence of Searle's speech act in Muhammad's tweets covering assertive, directive, expressive and declarative speech act. In his tweets Muhammad's tweets were mostly in the form of expressive speech act to show his feeling of happiness, pride, gratitude and positive mood to share with others.
