El constructo de permanencia ha sido abordado a través de modelos que permiten explicar las trayectorias escolares. El presente documento tuvo como objetivo validar la escala en estudiantes universitarios con un Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio para verificar los supuestos en el modelo de permanencia, teniendo confiabilidad de Alfa de Cronbach de .91. Se obtuvieron dos modelos, el modelo de cuatro factores de segundo orden con el mejor ajuste, así como el modelo de covarianzas de primer orden entre factores. Se discute que los hallazgos se encuentran en sintonía con lo establecido en la teoría y se sugiere seguir probando los modelos.
El objetivo de este estudio fue describir cómo es la enseñanza eficaz del profesorado de una carrera en Ciencias de la Comunicación, según la percepción de estudiantes de semestres iniciales y avanzados. Es un estudio cualitativo desde el interaccionismo simbólico. Participaron 96 estudiantes de la Universidad de Sonora (UNISON), una institución pública del estado de Sonora, México. Se empleó una guía de dos tópicos que estudiantes contestaron mediante la técnica de composición escrita: a) actividades que hacen los profesores que logran que aprendas y b) características que tienen los profesores que logran que aprendas. Se analizaron las respuestas del alumnado en el MAXQDA2020. Los hallazgos principales indican 80% de coincidencias entre las cinco categorías de la enseñanza eficaz emergidas de las respuestas de estudiantes de semestres iniciales y avanzados. Las cuatro coincidencias de un total de cinco categorías fueron: 1) hace las clases dinámicas, 2) explica claramente, 3) dominio del contenido y 4) entusiastas. Las diferencias fueron las siguientes: en tanto que para estudiantes de semestre inicial emergió la categoría brinda confianza, en relación a las de estudiantes de semestre avanzado emergió usan la tecnología.
