En este artículo presentamos algunos aportes para una ecología política de los humedales en Argentina. Según el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de Argentina, el 23% de la superficie del país está ocupada por humedales. Más allá del número y el área que abarcan, los humedales del país tienen una gran diversidad biológica y climática por estar ubicados en diferentes regiones. El interés por este tipo de espacios geográficos fue creciendo tanto dentro de la comunidad científica como en la agenda pública y política global. La valorización internacional de estos ecosistemas tiene como hito el año de 1971, cuando se firma la Convención Internacional sobre Humedales, conocida como “Convención Ramsar”. Por ello, nos propusimos como objetivo localizar y describir los conflictos sociales en los humedales del país, reconocidos como Sitios Ramsar. Consultamos distintas fuentes, rastreando aquellos conflictos que han tenido presencia en los medios de comunicación local o nacional. Posteriormente, cartografiamos y establecimos las características de cada uno de los humedales del país. En las conclusiones problematizamos esta conflictividad retomando algunas reflexiones de índole general.
