O presente artigo, baseado na pesquisa desenvolvida para o mestrado em Sociologia, tem por objetivo discutir a construção e o exercício do olhar pelos operadores do sistema de videomonitoramento urbano da cidade de Curitiba-PR, problematizando a forma como são definidos os alvos da vigilância e como o poder do olhar é posto em prática por esses indivíduos, com efeitos perversos no controle e segregação social, e também trazendo à tona questões relativas à suposta posição de poder dos operadores e sua relação com um ambiente trabalho bastante específico e diferenciado.
Este artigo busca destacar, a partir de dados coletados durante a pesquisa para doutoramento em sociologia, uma faceta da instrumentalização política da violência por parte das forças policiais durante e as jornadas de junho de 2013 no Brasil. Por meio de dados coletados em ampla pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo, foram analisadas as articulações entre repressão policial, violações de direitos e criminalização da tática black no período de 2013 a 2015, problematizando a questão do monopólio legítimo da violência por parte do Estado. As questões aqui levantadas ressaltam como a criminalização de grupos específicos de manifestantes como os adeptos da tática black bloc serve para justificar discursos autoritários e práticas repressivas que violam expressamente os direitos humanos, contribuindo para o fortalecimento de uma lógica punitivista.
Neste artigo busco analisar a instrumentalização política da violência pelos adeptos da tática black bloc no período iniciado nas Jornadas de Junho de 2013 no Brasil. A partir dos dados levantados durante a pesquisa de campo realizada para a tese de doutorado, em paralelo à ampla pesquisa bibliográfica e mesmo da comparação com outros pesquisadores que se dedicaram ao tema procurei entender a metáfora da guerra por trás da ação direta empreendida pela tática como uma forma legítima de ação política, e assim compreender sua mensagem de forma mais clara a partir da categoria da violência performática e de suas ações como forma de resistência mas também de catarse.
Neste artigo, baseado na pesquisa realizada para obtenção do título de Mestre em Sociologia, busco trazer para a pauta a discussão sobre o atual contexto da segurança pública, apontando para a disseminação de uma cultura do medo e da busca incessante por uma sensação de segurança que se apoia sobre a percepçãode que securização urbana, por meio de novas técnicas e tecnologias voltadas para a segurança, pode oferecer a solução para as questões da violência e criminalidade urbanas. Busco aqui questionar esse determinismo tecnológico, ressaltando os limites dessa perspectiva, que apontam para uma discussão maior sobre os temas aqui apresentados.
