This work presents a methodology for deriving a sparse two-phase transmission line representation in the phasedomain based on time-domain fitting. The resulting model is described by a polynomial matrix in the z-domain. The robustness of the representation, i.e. stability and passivity, is attained by imbedding a set of constraints in the fitting equations which are solved using quadratic programming. Results demonstrating the features of the derived representation are presented for the case of an untransposed two-phase transmission line.bdew Terms-Electromagnetic transients, transmission line, phase-domain, time-domain fitting, constrained least squares.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
