Bibliometría es una herramienta cuantitativa para análisis de productividad y caracterización de literatura científica. Este es el primer trabajo en Colombia que aborda ese tipo de análisis para caracterizar la producción científica en Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo (SST) durante los últimos diez años. Se realizó búsqueda y selección de artículos entre 2008 y 2018 en Bireme, Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, PubMed, EMBASE, Scielo, EBSCO, JSTOR, aplicando criterios de inclusión, exclusión y posterior selección con Rayyan©. Se definieron variables y calcularon indicadores bibliométricos de 434 artículos; 59% de regiones Andina, Bogotá y Caribe, 2015-16 años de mayor producción. Del total de publicaciones nacionales entre 2013 a 2017, solo 0.4% son en SST. El 51% han tenido entre 1-10 citas; el 76% corresponde únicamente a autores colombianos. El 49% tiene colaboración entre dos o más instituciones, en 64% colaboran tres o más autores. Solo para el 7% hay colaboración entre dos o más regiones. El 86% de los autores cuentan con solo un artículo publicado. La producción científica se concentra en el centro del país y medicina laboral fue la temática más abordada. Hubo tendencia de crecimiento durante el período estudiado y baja colaboración internacional y entre regiones.
