The high number of dental and oral health problems is caused by lack of individual motivation to perform routine dental care, as seen from the number of people who receive treatment from the dentist is only 8.7%. Serious oral health problems can lead to a decrease in the quality of life as well as work and study activities of an individual. This study was aimed to analyze the relationship between dental treatment motivation and Oral Health Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University. This was a descriptive and analytical study with a cross sectional design. Samples were choosen by using the cluster random sampling method. Data were analyzed by using the Spearman’s rank correlation test. The results showed that the students had high motivation for dental treatment. Moreover, the students had good OHRQoL conditions, with the worse score on the dimensions of psychological discomfort, physical disability, social disability, and physical pain. The Spearman’s rank correlation test obtained an r-value of 0.190 and a p-value of 0.020 for the relationship between dental treatment motivation and OHRQoL. In conclusion, there was a significant relationship between dental care motivation and OHRQoL in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University. The higher the dental treatment motivation, the better the quality of life is.Keywords: motivation; dental treatment; OHRQoL; quality of life; OHIP-14 Abstrak: Tingginya angka masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut disebabkan oleh kurangnya motivasi individu untuk melakukan perawatan gigi secara rutin yang terlihat dari jumlah penduduk yang menerima perawatan dari tenaga medis gigi hanya 8,7%. Masalah kesehatan yang ditemukan pada rongga mulut dan bersifat serius dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan kualitas hidup individu serta aktivitas kerja dan belajar menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara motivasi perawatan gigi terhadap kualitas hidup terkait kesehatan gigi (Oral Health Related Quality of Life - OHRQoL) mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro. Jenis penelitian ialah deskriptif analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan metode cluster random sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman’s rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan para mahasiswa memiliki motivasi perawatan gigi yang tinggi. Mahasiswa memiliki kondisi OHRQoL baik, dengan skor buruk pada dimensi ketidaknyaman psikis, disabilitas fisik, disabilitas sosial, dan rasa sakit fisik. Hasil analisis uji korelasi Spearman’s rank memperoleh nilai r = 0,190 dan nilai p = 0,020 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan bermakna antara motivasi perawatan gigi dengan OHRQoL. Simpulan penelitian ini ialah terdapat hubungan bermakna antara motivasi perawatan gigi dengan OHRQoL pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro. Background: Anemia is a globally public health problem, including in Indonesia (22.2%) and it has negative health impacts. Adolescent girls have high risk of anemia. Previous studies reported that adolescent girls at islamic boarding school had low food intake and poor knowledge about nutrition in preventing anemia. Objectives: To assess the prevalence of anemia and to analyze association between knowledge, nutritional status, and dietary habits and anemia in adolescent girls. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in November 2020 among adolescent girls at islamic boarding school in Semarang. A total of 162 respondents were selected by cluster sampling. Anemia was determined by measuring the hemoglobin level in the blood by Cyanmethemoglobin method. Knowledge and dietary habits were collected through questionnaires. Nutritional status was assessed by measuring weight and height, then classified by body mass index for age using WHO Anthro. Bivariate and multivariate logistic analysis were used to test hypothesis and it was significant if p<0.05. Results: The prevalence of anemia was found to be 17.3%. In the bivariate analysis, overweight was more likely to have anemia (p=0.044). There was no association between father’s education, mother’s education, knowledge, frequency of staple food, breakfast habits, consumption of animal side dishes, consumption of vegetable side dishes, consumption of sweet tea and anemia. Mulitvariate model showed that overweight (OR=3.658; 95%CI=1.224-10.932; p=0.020) and good knowledge (OR=3.652; 95%CI=1.221-10.922; p=0.020) were significant associated with the anemia.Conclusion: Nutritional status and knowledge were significantly associated with anemia among adolescent girls.

Applying nursing professional�valuestarted by when the education process until practice in the clinic.�The purpose of the research:�Knowing describe of nursing professional value on student of program study nursing profession Faculty of Nursing and Health University of Muhammadiyah Semarang.Researchmethods:�Kind of this study was descriptive qualitative which is applied survey approach, applied total sampling method with total respondent were 114 students, the data submitted was applied questionnaire of NPSV-3 (Nurse Professional Values Scale-3) consists of 28 question with Likert scale (Weish & Schank, 2017). Statistic analysis applied univariat analysis.�Research results:�The research showed characteristic of female sample 70 (61,4%), respondent age minimum 22 years and maximum 30 years. The value of nursing professionals with the category of less good 2 (1.8%), both 112 (98.2%).�Caringvalue with category less good 1 (9%), good 113 (99,1%). The value of�activismwith category less good 4 (3.5%), good 110 (96,5%). The value of�professionalismwith the less good category 1 (9%), either 113 (99.1%).Conclusion:�It was concluded that the average of the three components of the overall score in both categories with the total value of professional nursing was 112 (98.2%) with good category.Suggestion:�This study canbe the evaluation material for institution of education and student nurse in applying nursing professional score also as an input in adjustment of education curriculum and supporting professionalism.
Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a national health problem both in the world and in Indonesia. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a comorbid disease that contributes to 15% of TB cases in the world. In an effort to eradicate TB, the government has launched a TB-DM collaboration program in every health facility. This study aimed to determine the relationship between readiness program officer and the implementation of the TB-DM collaboration program at Semarang Community Health Center, Central Java. Subjects and Method: This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design conducted at community health center, Semarang. A sample of 37 TB service providers. The data were collected by questionnaire and in-depth interview. The data was analysed by Chi-square. Results: A total of 71.6% (53 respondents) of 74 respondents have implemented the TB-DM collaboration program well. As many as 87.7% (65 respondents) have satisfactory readiness in implementing the TB-DM collaboration program. Readiness and implementation of the TB-DM collaboration program were significantly related (p< 0.001). Conclution: The readiness of officers and the implementation of the TB-DM collaboration program are mostly good, and have a close relationship.
