The Bayou System is a platform of replicated, highlyavailable, variable-consistency, mobile databases on which to build collaborative applications. This paper presents the preliminary system architecture along with the design goals that influenced it. We take a fresh, bottom-up and critical look at the requirements of mobile computing applications and carefully pull together both new and existing techniques into an overall architecture that meets these requirements. Our emphasis is on supporting application-specific conflict detection and resolution and on providing application-controlled inconsistency.
In addition to facilitating understanding the material that is difficult to understand, animation media can also improve student learning outcomes. The application of animation media in the research conducted aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII B students of 19 Kerinci State Middle School. The research method uses classroom action research with two actions in the cycle. The technique of collecting data through observation and test sheets. The results of the study indicate an increase in aspects and actions. Aspects in the first action of students' interest in learning, namely 48.38%, experienced an increase in the second action reaching an average of 80.31%. Then in the third action it increased to an average of 92.53%. This happens because the application of animation media is far more effective in attracting the attention and concentration of students in learning. If the learning interest of students is high and very enthusiastic in learning, learning will also be easy to understand, learning outcomes will be better, and learning goals can be achieved as desired.Keywords: 3D Animation Video, Biology Learning Outcomes, Learning Media ABSTRAK: Media video animasi tiga dimensi (3D) adalah salah satu media yang dapat diaplikasikan guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunakan media ini menjadi alternatif bagi guru sebagai usaha untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, khususnya pada mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar biologi siswa melalui penerapan media animasi tiga dimensi (3D). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari siswa SMP Negeri 19 Kerinci. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui lembar observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh rata-rata nilai post-test pada siklus pertama adalah 74,94 dengan persentase siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) sebesar 55,5% . Pada siklus kedua diperoleh rata-rata nilai post-test adalah 81,5 dengan persentase siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) sebesar 88,8%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media video animasi tiga dimensi (3D) berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar biologi siswa.Kata Kunci: Video Animasi 3D, Hasil Belajar Biologi, Media Pembelajaran
Evolusi adalah salah satu cabang ilmu biologi yang mengkaji tentang perubahan struktur dari makhluk hidup. Evolusi dipopulerkan pertama kali oleh ilmuwan Inggris, Charles Darwin. Ada beberapa kontroversi dalam beberapa teori evolusi ini, salah satunya adalah teori asal-usul manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan mahasiswa jurusan Biologi dan Pendidikan Agama Islam tentang asal usul manusia. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomena. Informan penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurusan biologi dan Pendidikan Agama Islam. Teknik pengumpulan berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa biologi dan mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama mengetahui asal usul manusia secara sains dan agama. Pengetahuan mahasiswa biologi dari segi sains menyatakan bahwa (1) asal usul manusia berasal dari nenek moyang yang sama dengan kera, (2) asal usul manusia dari makhluk hidup sebelumnya, sedangkan dari segi agama menyatakan bahwa asal usul manusia dari tanah. Pengetahuan mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama dari segi sains menyatakan bahwa (1) Asal usul menusia itu berasal dari nenek moyang yang sama dengan kera, (2) asal usul manusia itu berasal makhluk hidup sebelumnya, (3) Asal usul manusia berasal dari manusia sebelumnya, sedangkan dari segi agama menyatakan bahwa (1) Asal usul manusia itu berasal dari tanah, (2) Asal usul manusia itu berasal dari Nabi Adam dan Hawa
This research was conducted based on local wisdom in Keluru. The society has awarness to keep Temedak Customary Forest of Keluru. They understand the positive effects of that Customary Forest. This Forest was decided as the Customary Forest in written form since 1927. That Customary Forest has many diversities of flora. Then, there are many rules which have made to keep the conservation of that forest in both customary law and the policy of local and village government. The rule is related to the prohibition of Customary Forest exploitation. The purpose of this research is to know how the management of flora diversities in Temedak Customary Forest of Keluru. The data and information were obtained from field observation of the customary forest condition and interview with some informants. The informants consisted of the customary functionary, village government, and society. The data were analyzed by qualitative method. The result of this research showed that the management of flora diversity in Temedak Customary Forest of Keluru have been done well. Local wisedom such as the customary rules have been implemented well. This research describes about the local wisdom of society in keeping and managing conservation of customary forest.
The purpose of this research is about to find out how the society's local wisdom of Lempur, Gunung Raya sub-district conserve water resources. Data and information were taken from interview and observation of river condition by observing its pH and transparency. This research adopts descriptive qualitative approach. The informants of this research were the leaders of custom Lekok Lima Puluh Tumbi Lempur and Village government of Lempur. The data were collected by taking the sample of river water quality, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using interactive model concept proposed by Miles and Huberman (reduction, display, and verification). In general, the results of this research showed that local wisdom such as the customary law have not been implemented well yet. Based on the test of pollution parameter, it was found that the condition of waters did not achieve the level of danger yet because the level of pH is 7.
