Objetivo: analisar aassociação entre sofrimento mental, desesperança, idade e escolaridade na adesão à terapia antirretroviral de pessoas com HIV/AIDS. Método: Estudo transversal realizado de janeiro a julho de 2019, em Hospital referência para doenças infectocontagiosas no Nordeste, Brasil. Participaram 100 pessoas com HIV/AIDS que responderam às escalas de sofrimento mental, desesperança e adesão à terapia antirretroviral (CEAT-VIH). Análise estatística descritiva e testes Kruskal Wallis, teste t, qui quadrado e Mannv Whitney, considerando significância quando p≤0,05. Resultados: identificou-se que64% eram homens, 50% possuíam ensino fundamental completo, 58% apresentavam sofrimento mental, 48% desesperança leve, 60% tinham dificuldade no tratamento com terapia antirretroviral. Conclusão: os resultados revelaram que a desesperança está associada à adesão à terapia antirretroviral; o sofrimento mental está associado ao escore de desesperança; a idade está associada ao escore de sofrimento mental, desesperança e adesão à terapia antirretroviral.
Objetivo : identificar o perfil profissional e o conhecimento de enfermeiros emergentes sobre o protocolo clínico de sepse em uma Unidade de Pronto Atendimento. Método : estudo quantitativo do tipo descritivo, com amostra composta por 20 enfermeiros (as). A coleta de dados se deu por meio de perguntas semiestruturadas, abordando uma caracterização sociodemográfica e o conhecimento desses profissionais sobre o protocolo clínico para pacientes com sepse, através de questões objetivas. Uma análise dos dados foi realizada no Excel 2010. Resultados :prevaleceram profissionais do sexo feminino 95%, especialistas em terapia intensiva 30% e urgência e emergência 13%, com mais de três anos de experiência profissional 60%. Quanto ao nível de conhecimento sobre o uso da sepultura, identificou-se 85% de uso sobre vasopressores e coleta de hemoculturas, 45% referenciados no pacote de uma hora preconizada e 55% de uso recomendado para medições, como ressuscitação volêmica, hiperlactemia, uso de antimicrobianos em pacientes sépticos e exames laboratoriais. Conclusão : embora o nível mais alto de profissionais seja especialista em urgência e emergência, ou seja, sobre o protocolo de identificação de sepse, enfermeiros atuantes em serviço, ainda é insatisfatório e restrito, necessitando de aprimoramento. Objetivo: analisar condições clínicas e comportamentos de risco à saúde de pessoas em situação de rua. Método: estudo transversal, realizado em duas instituições de referência para pessoas em situação de rua na região nordeste do Brasil. Aplicou-se um roteiro de entrevista referente a variáveis sociodemográficas, clínicas e comportamentos vulneráveis ao adoecer para 100 participantes. Utilizou-se o teste Qui Quadrado e ANOVA. Resultados: o tipo de parceiro sexual influência na presença de sintomas de infecção sexualmente transmissível, a presença de sintomatologia relacionada à infecção sexualmente transmissível do parceiro influência na sintomatologia do próprio indivíduo, o etilismo influência na prática de sexo com usuário de drogas, a prática de sexo em troca de dinheiro apresenta correlação com a violência física, o sexo oral influência na presença de sintoma de infecção sexualmente transmissível. Conclusão: pessoas em situação de rua apresentam condições e comportamentos que potencializam o adoecimento.
Introdução. A pessoa idosa necessita de demandas de cuidado específicas, o que impulsiona as famílias a buscarem internações para estes em Instituições de Longa Permanência. Objetivo: investigar, à luz da literatura, os determinantes da institucionalização e as características sociodemograficas dos idosos institucionalizados. Métodos. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDILINE e BDENF, com os Descritores em Ciênias da Saúde e seus respectivos correspondentes do Medical Subject Headings: idoso (aged), institucionalização (institutionalization), envelhecimento (aging). A amostra final foi constituída por 30 estudos. A análise dos dados foi feita por meio da análise categorial temática proposta por Bardin. Resultados. Os determinantes da institucionalização da pessoa idosa identificados foram: falta de cuidador formal; falta de disponibilidade dos familiares; abandono; decisão do idoso; problemas de saúde; morar na rua e restrições financeiras. Quanto às caracteristicas sociodemográficas ocorreu predominância do sexo feminino; idade entre 65 e 75 anos; solteiros e viúvos; baixa escolaridade e baixa renda. Considerações finais. Estudos, como este, cooperam para o planejamento de cuidados de enfermagem mais eficaz fortalecendo as ações voltadas à prevençao deste desfecho.
Objetivo: Analisar por meio do Diagrama de Ishikawa as causas e as estratégias de soluções para hanseníase em crianças. Método: Revisão da literatura baseada na construção do Diagrama de Ishikawa, realizado em abril de 2017 nos bancos de dados do Pubmed, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), Scielo e Ebsco. Resultados: Identificou-se que a prevalência da hanseníase em crianças se dá por fatores sociais, ambientais e culturais, onde: condições socioeconômicas, aglomerado populacional e ausência de capacitação profissional correspondem a 70% das causas apontadas. Conclusão: Evidenciou-se a necessidade de intensificar a vigilância epidemiológica, realizar maiores investimentos nas ações preventivas, como a educação em saúde, incluindo também a adoção de capacitações dos profissionais responsáveis pelo diagnóstico.
