In our recent paper (CMP 89:69-80), several equations in the appendix contain errors. The equations given for garnet component activities were inadvertently left unmodified after we concluded that the ternary interaction parameters of the garnet activity model should not be used, and the equation for anorthite contains an erroneous exponent. The correct equations should be: in 7Fe =X2a [1.52-5.17 XF~] +XZg [0.10+2.26 XFe]
