Abstract The incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STI) that occurred in Denpasar since 2010 until the year 2012 has increased. This study aims to provide an illustration of the incidence of STIs in Denpasar City in 2016 and its influencing factors. This was an analytical study of data derived from medical records of patients who performed STI examination at four public health centers (puskesmas) in Denpasar City from January to December 2016. Data were assessed by univariate and bivariate analyses using chi-square test. The results showed that from a total of 1,397 respondents, 18.2% were diagnosed as STI positives. The result of bivariate analysis showed that the significant factors for the incidence of STI were female sex worker’s customers (OR=2.3 95% CI: 1.7-3.2; p<0.001), employed respondents (OR=2.2; 95% CI: 1.7-2.9; p<0.001), male (OR=1.6; 95% CI: 1.2-2.1; p=0.001) and married (OR=1.4; 95% CI: 1.1-1.9; p=0.014). It is recommended that each puskesmas should conduct community outreach activities especially to female sex worker’s customers as one of groups with high risk of STI infections. Keywords: Sexually transmitted infections, public health centers, Denpasar Abstrak Sejak tahun 2010 sampai dengan tahun 2012 insiden Infeksi menular seksual (IMS) di Kota Denpasar mengalami peningkatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran kejadian IMS di Kota Denpasar tahun 2016 dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan data rekam medis pasien yang melakukan pemeriksaan IMS (data tercatat pada SIHA IMS) periode Januari sampai dengan Desember 2016 di empat puskesmas di Kota Denpasar. Analisis dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariate dengan chi square test. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari total 1397 reponden, sebanyak 18,2% didiagnosis positif IMS). Hasil analisa bivariat menunjukkan faktor yang signifikan terhadap kejadian IMS adalah responden pelanggan PSK (OR=2,3 95% CI: 1,7- 3,2; p<0,001), bekerja (OR=2,2; 95% CI: 1,7-2,9; p<0,001 ), laki-laki (OR=1,6; 95% CI: 1,2-2,1; p=0,001) dan sudah menikah (OR=1,4; 95% CI: 1,1-1,9; p=0.014). Diharapkan pada masingmasing puskesmas agar kegiatan penjangkauan yang selama ini ada dapat menyasar pelanggan PSK sebagai salah satu kelompok dengan risiko IMS. Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan peran aktif penderitanya dalam melakukan self management untuk mencegah terjadinya berbagai komplikasi yang mengancam nyawa seperti hipoglikemia, neuropati, penyakit jantung, dan stroke. Self management diabetes merupakan hal penting dalam mencapai penatalaksanaan diabetes yang optimal dan pengalaman spiritualitas merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi pelaksanaan self management diabetes pasien. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengalaman spiritualitas dengan perilaku self management pasien diabetes melitus di Puskesmas Gianyar I. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Total 37 responden dipilih dengan teknik consecutive sampling dengan mayoritas berjenis kelamin laki-laki (67,6%) dan rentang usia antara 56 sampai 65 tahun (40,5%). Pengambilan data dilakukan selama satu bulan dari Maret hingga April 2021. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) untuk mengukur pengalaman spiritualitas dan Diabetes Self Management Questionnaire (DSMQ) untuk mengukur perilaku self management. Hasil uji statistik spearman’s rank (? = 0,05) didapatkan hasil p value= 0,007; r = 0,437 yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengalaman spiritualitas dengan perilaku self management pasien diabetes. Pengalaman spiritualitas memberikan dukungan, kekuatan dan kepercayaan dalam menghadapi suatu penyakit sehingga akan berhubungan dengan perilaku self management. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan bagi pelayanan kesehatan dan perawat untuk lebih memperhatikan aspek pengalaman spiritualitas dan perilaku self management diabetes pasien.
Adolescent girls are a group that is prone to anemia because they experience menstruation every month and is in growth period. This study aimed to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls in Bangli, Bali. An analytical study with cross-sectional design was conducted among 135 girls at a vocational high school in Bangli, Bali in 2019. School selection was carried out in a cluster sample, all girls in the school were used as research samples (total sample). The exclusion criteria were girls who were not present at the time of the data collection process. The variables studied were the incidence of anemia, menstrual cycle, duration of menstruation and adherence to Fe tablet consumption. Data were collected by checking Hb and using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi Square test. The results showed as many as 7.4% of girls had anemia. The variable that was statistically proven to be associated with the incidence of anemia was the menstrual cycle (OR=0.270;95%CI: 0.072-.0.013; p=0.049). The use of monitoring forms for the Tablet Tambah Darah program as well as increasing teacher support can be implemented to help improve students' adherence to Fe tablet consumption. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor- faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di Kabupaten Bangli, Provinsi Bali. Suatu penelitian analitik dengan rancangan cross-sectional dilakukan pada 135 remaja putri di SMK X di Kabupaten Bangli, Provinsi Bali pada Tahun 2019. Seleksi sekolah dilakukan dalam sampel cluster, semua remaja putri di sekolah tersebut terpilih menjadi sampel penelitian (total sampel), dengan kriteria eksklusi adalah remaja putri yang tidak hadir pada saat proses pengambilan data. Variabel yang diteliti adalah kejadian anemia, siklus menstruasi, lama menstruasi dan kepatuhan konsumsi tablet Fe. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemeriksaan Hb dan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat (uji Chi Square). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 7,4% remaja putri mengalami anemia. Variabel yang terbukti secara statistik berhubungan dengan kejadian anemia adalah siklus menstruasi (OR=0,270; 95%CI: 0,072-1,013; p=0,049). Penggunaan formulir pemantauan program Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) dan meningkatkan dukungan guru bisa dilaksanakan untuk membantu meningkatkan kepatuhan konsumsi tablet Fe pada siswa. Adolescents experience physical and hormonal changes that cause sexual urges to begin. The emergence of sexual urges can trigger adolescents to engage in sexual activities, including premarital sex. Prevention of premarital sex can be done through health education to increase the knowledge and attitudes of the adolescents. Health education through WhatsApp can be used as a medium to disseminate health information to adolescents. This study aimed to determine the effect of health education through WhatsApp on the knowledge and attitudes on the prevention of premarital sex for adolescents at SMK N 5 Denpasar. This study was a pre-experimental with a pretest-posttest one group design. Samples were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The sample of this study amounted to 46 people and were given health education messages through WhatsApp regarding the prevention of premarital sex three times a week for two weeks duration. Statistical tests used in this study were the paired t-test and Wilcoxon test. The results of the statistical test showed that there were differences in knowledge (p < 0,001) and attitudes (p = 0,001) before and after the intervention. The provision of health education through WhatsApp affects the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents regarding the prevention of premarital sex in SMK N 5 Denpasar.
