La presente intervención dirigida a madres y cuidadores de niños y niñas de cinco años expuestos al terremoto de Manabí 2016 se realizó mediante un programa de técnicas de relajación con enfoque terapeuta tutor, siendo su propósito aportar al bienestar socioemocional de niños y niñas de cinco años. Para analizar el impacto del programa se utilizó una metodología de investigación basada en el diseño, que corresponde a un enfoque mixto. Los resultados demostraron que, una vez aplicado la intervención, las madres y cuidadores aprendieron las diferentes técnicas de relajación, las mismas que fueron aplicadas a sus hijos en sus hogares, obteniendo efectos satisfactorios en el bienestar socioemocional de niños y niñas que presentaban síntomas derivados de su exposición al terremoto y a los daños que generó en su entorno físico y social.
