Resumo: O artigo aborda sobre uma experiência pedagógica realizada na EJA, repensando seu currículo, a partir da inserção da história e cultura africana, com o samba de roda, possibilitando novos saberes aos sujeitos, bem como propiciando uma educação antirracista, pois, entendemos o papel da escola e dos professores na desconstrução de estereótipos a figura dos negros e minimização de práticas racistas no bojo da escola e na sociedade em que vivemos. O estudo realizado proporcionou conhecer sobre o samba de roda e temáticas associadas, promovendo a identidade étnica dos sujeitos envolvidos, favorecendo o protagonismo dos educandos. Desse modo, é importante experienciarmos no ensino da EJA uma educação voltada a nós mesmos, sinalizando a importância das experiências do povo negro, trazendo assim, referenciais positivos.Palavras-chave: Samba de Roda. RESUMO: O artigo propõe discutir sobre a promoção da equidade racial na educação básica, através de uma educação antirracista, decolonial, a partir da descolonização do currículo, promovendo assim, o combate as práticas racistas no bojo da escola. O professor tem um papel fundamental nesse processo, uma vez que, deve promover ações que revertam tal situação. Diante desse contexto de desigualdade racial que abarca também o espaço escolar, visto que, é formado majoritariamente por negros e afrodescendentes e que apresentam baixos índices na sua progressão escolar. Como mudar essa realidade? Essa indagação nos levar a pensar no tipo de educação que devemos ofertar, sendo necessário levarmos em consideração o cotidiano dos sujeitos. Assim, acreditamos que a inserção do ensino de história da África, da diáspora e das relações étnico-raciais seja uma possibilidade para reduzirmos os dilemas que afligem o espaço escolar.
