Se analiza el grado de legitimidad y se contrasta con la legalidad de la asistencia obligatoria a clases teóricas y portafolios de evidencias en las instituciones públicas de educación superior de Ecuador. Para esto se analizaron los antecedentes históricos del tema, legislación y doctrinas nacionales e internacionales, y encuestas a docentes de universidades de Ecuador. Concluimos que la asistencia obligatoria a clases teóricas tiene visos cuestionables de legalidad toda vez que al adquirir un cariz de coerción, extorsión e intimidación estos reglamentos se contraponen a leyes de orden superior y a los propios principios reformistas. Asimismo, carecen de legitimidad ya que vulneran los principios epistemológicos fundacionales de la Reforma de 1918 en el caso de la asistencia obligatoria a clases teóricas y en el caso de los portafolios de evidencias a los principios reformistas de libertad de cátedra y libertad académica. Complementariamente, tanto la asistencia obligatoria como los portafolios de evidencias vulneran o contravienen los principios de democracia, equidad, inclusión, derecho al trabajo y calidad de la docencia, entre otros establecidos en la Constitución de la República de Ecuador y la Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior.
El objetivo fue evaluar como estudio de caso, la aplicación vivencial del círculo lógico de la investigación científica como estrategia de enseñanza aprendizaje significativa de metodología de la investigación en la docencia de grado universitaria. Para ello se aplicó la técnica de investigación acción participativa. Los resultados indican que la metodología de la investigación es aprendida y aprehendida en forma efectiva (100%) si la misma es vivenciada en todos los pasos del círculo lógico desde un rol protagónico. Asimismo, la concientización del rol social, cultural, académico y económico que la misma juega en el desarrollo de un país tuvo una asimilación del 100 %. Complementariamente los estudiantes desarrollaron sentido de identidad y pertenencia; aptitudes, destrezas y habilidades de oralidad, pedagogía, capacidad de síntesis, sentido de responsabilidad, ética, respeto académico, autoestima, autocrítica, entre otros
En este estudio se analiza y discute la ingesta de plástico y otros materiales antropogénicos por parte de Coragyps atratus en un vertedero de residuos suburbano de Calceta, Provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. De un total de 112 egagrópilas analizadas, el 100% contenía materiales antropogénicos siendo los más conspicuos, diferentes tipos de plásticos y microplásticos, además de metales, vidrio, suelo y otros. Se discute y contrasta con la bibliografía la importancia relativa de los materiales antropogénicos encontrados, así como su potencial impacto en la especie y para el ser humano.
Geofagia es el consumo intencional o incidental de suelo por parte de animales. Se considera un comportamiento poco común, y sus explicaciones son controvertidas y motivo contínuo de debate. La plasticofagia es el consumo deliberado o accidental de plásticos, un fenómeno cada vez más frecuente en aves alrededor del mundo. Aquí documentamos los primeros datos de ingesta de suelo y plásticos en Coragyps atratus en Ecuador. Trabajamos en un vertedero de residuos de la ciudad de Calceta y en la playa de Canoa (Manabí). En el vertedero analizamos 112 egagrópilas las cuales se incluyeron en 6 categorías de materiales antropogénicos y suelo y 18 subcategorías. Encontramos suelo en nueve egagrópilas (8%) y plásticos en todas las muestras. También se hallaron metales, vidrio, cartón e indeterminados. El análisis de las muestras indicaría que la ingesta de suelo y plástico podría ser incidental. Discutimos las implicaciones potenciales de la ingesta de suelo y plástico como vehículos de exposición a metales pesados, compuestos orgánicos persistentes y pesticidas. Nuestros aportes contribuyen a conocer la historia natural de la especie en contextos antrópicos en vistas a diseñar políticas de manejo y conservación de la misma; así como a su integración armónica a los ecosistemas antropogénicos.
