Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk meninjau karakteristik Dangdut Koplo secara tekstual. Riset yang dilakukan menggunakan metode fenomenologi dengan melakukan studi lapangan ke sejumlah wilayah pertunjukan Dangdut Koplo di wilayah Jawa Tengah dan Jawa Timur. Perkembangan dangdut secara historis, dipaparkan melalui sejumlah riset dalam menelusuri karakteristik dangdut yang pada akhirnya berbeda dengan Dangdut Koplo. Sejumlah fakta hasil riset dan studi lapangan menghasilkan sejumlah unsur yang membangun karakteristik Dangdut Koplo berupa, (1) pola permainan khusus pada gendang, (2) kecenderungan tempo cepat, (3) pertunjukan dengan unsur erotisme, (4) Pencampuran aransemen berbagai genre, dan (5) trend variasi berupa jem-jeman yang diikuti senggakan. Pada akhirnya Dangdut Koplo merupakan produk perkembangan dari dangdut sebagai manifestasi dari kreativitas para praktisinya yang menkolaborasikan dangdut dengan pengaruh estetika lokal.
The following research aims to explain about how Dongkari as aesthetic concept, constructing ornamentation in Tembang Sunda Cianjuran. This research employs phenomenology approach also filedwork activity and depth interview with singer or “penembang” who exist around Bandung, West Java. This studydescribes the Dongkari as element of ornamentation which is used by penembang to create ornamentation in performing Tembang Sunda Cianjuran songs. As a result, Dongkari as the basic construction of ornamentation, should be operated by penembang based on virtuocity and interpretation of each penembang.
Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk melihat proses terkonstruksinya dimensi interkultural pada pola permainan gendang terhadap pelaku dan para pecinta Dangdut Koplo. Pendekatan yang digunakan mengadopsi dari Ilmu Sosial yakni teori konstruksi sosial Peter L. Berger yang terdiri dari eksternalisasi, objektivasi, dan internalisasi. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode fenomenologi dengan melakukan studi lapangan ke sejumlah wilayah pertunjukan Dangdut Koplo di Solo Raya terutama Taman Hiburan Rakyat (THR) Sriwedari dengan objek kelompok musik Areva sebagai bahan studi kasus. Proses konstruksi sosial masyarakat Dangdut Koplo dideskripsikan melalui analisis pada transkrip pola-pola gendang dan dampak musikalnya. Tahap eksternalisasi melibatkan konsep dan kreativitas Areva dalam menghasilkan serta mengembangkan dimensi interkultural pada pola permainan gendang. Kreativitas dalam bentuk pola-pola gendang bermuatan proses interkultural dihadirkan dengan melibatkan interaksi intersubjek sehingga menghasilkan produk interaktif berupa senggakan dan gerak-gerak komunitas joged pada proses objektivasi. Media pentas dan konser menjadi proses sosialisasi yang membuat masyarakat dari satu kolektif ke kolektif lain, melihat Areva Musik sebagai manifestasi dari Dangdut Koplo, pada tahap internalisasi. ABSTRACTThis research focused on the construction process of the intercultural dimension of the drums pattern among Dangdut Koplo’s society. The approach used to adopt from the social sciences, that was social construction theory from Peter l. Berger consist of externalization, internalization, and objectivation. Research conducted using the method of Phenomenology by doing fieldwork to several areas performing Live of Dangdut Koplo in Solo and surroundings especially on Taman Hiburan Rakyat (THR) Sriwedari with Areva Music group as a case study. The process of the social construction of society Dangdut Koplo described through analysis on transcripts of drum patterns and the impact of its. Externalization stage involves the concept of creativity from Areva Music in generating and developing intercultural dimension on the drum pattern of the gendang’s player. Creativity in the form of many drum patterns featured an intercultural process involving the subject to subject interaction to produce interactive products in the form of senggakan and some motion from joged’s community on the process of objectivation. The medium of performances and concerts into a process of socialization that make communities from one another, the collective to collective see that Areva Music group as a manifestation of Dangdut Koplo, at the process of internalization.
The activity of creating musical works based on Community Service activities with the title “Exploration of Harmonious Composition Techniques and Interlocking Vocal Techniques in Metal Musical Works of the Djiwoastra Group” seeks to express musical works that show the marriage between Nusantara aesthetics and Western aesthetics through working on choir vocal compositions. The agreement to collaborate in composing music with an emphasis on the Gregorian choir composite strategy that explores Nusantara vocal forms such as Senggakan and Gerongan (Javanese), as well as the Balinese Kecak vocal interlocking technique is a problem solving point in overcoming the problem of diversity in metal music production techniques required by Djiwoastra music group as partners. The Participation Action Research method is prioritized in this activity. This activity is a vehicle for realizing mutual understanding between the team implementing the activity and the metal music group Djiwoastra, in order to strengthen each other’s potential for the challenges of musical works based on the internalization of diverse experiences. Community service activities that aim to solve problems in balancing the aesthetics of music between West and East have been achieved to some extent by strengthening the trans-medium composite technique of Javanese vocal forms such as Senggakan, Gerongan, and Balinese Kecak which are packaged in a gregorian choral style, which can become a new techniques mastered by partners to develop subsequent works
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mencoba untuk melakukan formulasi dalam menciptakan musik yang dapat dijadikan sarana terapi untuk menekan tingkat kecemasan serta memberikan rasa tenang dan nyaman terhadap pendengarnya khususnya ibu hamil. Target jangka panjang dari riset ini ialah bagaimana dampak dari musik terhadap psikologi ibu hamil diharapkan mampu memberikan efek positif terhadap ibu maupun janin yang sedang dikandung. Target jangka pendek yang dihasilkan dari riset dalam proposal berikut yakni mencoba melakukan analalisis kompositoris dan mencermati kaidah-kaidah musik terapi yang dikombinasikan dengan idiom musikal karawitan, dalam hal ini karawitan Jawa, Sunda, dan Bali. Pada akhirnya diharapkan dapat menghasilkan sebuah embrio dari model penciptaan musik terapi berbasis idiom musikal karawitan. Riset ini kemudian mencoba mengeksplorasi bunyi- bunyian lokal untuk dapat diolah kembali menjadi produk yang maslahat untuk masyarakat.Kata kunci: musik, terapi, karawitan, komposisi ABSTRACTThis study tries to formulate music that can be used as a therapy tool to reduce anxiety and provide a sense of calm and comfort to the listeners, especially pregnant women. The long-term target of this research is how the impact of music on the psychology of pregnant women is expected to have a positive effect on both the mother and the fetus being conceived. The short-term target resulting from the research in the following proposal is to try to do a compositorist analysis and observe the rules of therapeutic music combined with karawitan musical idioms, namely Javanese, Sundanese, and Balinese karawitan. Finally, it is hoped that it will produce an embryo of a therapeutic music model based on the musical idiom of karawitan.
