Modificadores de ligantes asfálticos, tais como polímeros, borrachas de pneus moídos, borra oleosa de petróleo, dentre outros, vêm sendo estudados para melhor adequação destes às condições de uso. Contrariamente aos puros, os ligantes modificados apresentam comportamento reológico não-Newtoniano. Por essa razão, a dosagem de mistura asfáltica com ligantes modificados apresenta restrições às metodologias convencionais. Neste estudo, a modificação do ligante asfáltico CAP 50/70 foi realizada utilizando-se 10% e 20%, em massa, de masterbatch’s de borracha de pneus inservíveis com borra de petróleo, na proporção 15/85 (CM1) e 85/15 (CM2), seguindo a Norma DNER – ME 043/95. Os resultados mostraram que é possível dosar misturas asfálticas com o CAP 50/70 modificado com borra de petróleo seguindo-se a metodologia da referida Norma.
<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;">O desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias para minimizar os efeitos da ação de variações climáticas e da alta densidade de tráfego em pavimento rodoviários vem sendo pesquisado nos últimos anos empregando macromoléculas e aditivos modificadores de ligante asfáltico na busca de misturas asfálticas de alto desempenho. O objetivo deste trabalho foi utilizar borra oleosa de fundo de tanque, oriunda de unidade de tratamento primário de petróleo, um passivo de difícil disposição no ambiente, como agente de modificação de cimento asfáltico de petróleo, CAP 50/70, e avaliar a estabilidade de estocagem do ligante modificado quanto à separação de fase por meio de análise térmica e reológica. Devido à difícil dispersão da borra oleosa de petróleo no CAP 50/70, blenda de borracha de pneus inservíveis com borra oleosa de petróleo, na proporção 15/85% em massa foi preparada e utilizada como agente modificador, na quantidade de 10% em massa. Os resultados obtidos mostram que o referido ligante modificado atende às especificações brasileiras, no que se refere à temperatura de usinagem e compactação de misturas do tipo CAUQ, empregadas em revestimentos de pavimento rodoviário. Contudo, há separação de fase no ligante modificado na concentração dos modificadores estudados, tornando necessários estudos complementares sobre estabilidade de estocagem. </span></p>
A celulose é uma substância natural, macromolecular, não tóxica, de origem renovável e biodegradável, cuja estrutura química pode sofrer modificações através da substituição das hidroxilas presentes na sua macromolécula e assim, obter produtos com variadas propriedades de uso. Com o aumento da atenção mundial para a degradação ambiental, a obtenção de novos produtos a partir de modificação química da celulose tem sido realizada com crescente aplicabilidade em diversos setores industriais, dentre eles, a indústria de extração e produção de petróleo. Este estudo mostra a ação de uma substância surfactante obtida a partir de xantatos celulósicos de sisal (Agave sisalana) modificado em bancada de laboratório com álcool láurico no fenômeno de parafinação de petróleo pesado, por meio da medida de temperatura de iniciação de aparecimento de cristais de parafina (TIAC) e da energia de ativação de fluxo. Os resultados dos referidos experimentos mostraram que este não reduziu os valores de TIAC em amostra de óleo pesado em estudo, mas promoveu reduções na energia de ativação de fluxo.
