O bruxismo do sono é um distúrbio de movimento figuradamente caracterizado pelo ranger (excêntrico), apertar (cêntrico) dos dentes e foi recentemente classificado como um transtorno de movimento relacionado ao sono, uma parassonia do sistema mastigatório. É uma desordem de etiologia multifatorial, descrita como uma atividade parafuncional orofacial podendo gerar sintomatologia dolorosa muscular. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a força de mordida de pacientes com bruxismo do sono controlado com duas formulações similares de toxina botulínica tipo A (Botulift® e Botox®). Da mesma forma que se pretende compreender qual a relação das injeções de toxina botulínica com as alterações nos músculos mastigatórios assim como nos ossos da mandíbula após a sua aplicação.
