Cet article étudie les liens qui unissent le territoire et la création cinématographique dans une perspective sémantique et communicationnelle. Nous interrogeons le dispositif du placement territorial filmique et proposons une typologie originale de ces formes de présence dans l'image cinématographique. Notre analyse révèle les singularités diégétiques du territoire dans les films.
Notre article vise à comprendre dans quelle mesure le territoire filmique peut devenir un dispositif de promotion régionale et à déterminer le rôle du réalisateur et de la région dans celui-ci. Nous analysons le degré d'acceptabilité du placement territorial pour les réalisateurs français, leurs discours qui révèlent un désir de mettre en lumière le territoire et les actions mises en oeuvre par les régions afin de valoriser leur participation dans le monde du cinéma. Il s'agit in fine de démontrer qu'il existe une réelle mise en tension entre création cinématographique, valorisation discursive et stratégie promotionnelle.
Dans cet article, nous nous concentrons sur les manifestations communicationnelles et symboliques des insertions publicitaires dans les diégèses cinématographiques. Grâce aux produits et aux marques placés, le réalisateur transmet rapidement des informations à son public. En effet, il utilise les valeurs identitaires de la marque, se les approprie par son film et présume de leur intelligibilité par les spectateurs. Ainsi, s’agit-il de démontrer que les insertions de produits et de marques filmiques représentent un dispositif efficient, relevant, pour le réalisateur, d’une pratique de communication et d’une série de médiations sémiologiques.
