O milho é um cereal de alta qualidade proteica, fundamental para a manutenção da produtividade animal e o consumo humano em praticamente todo território terrestre. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o efeito da inoculação de Trichoderma harzianum sobre a produtividade de milho. Foram avaliados dois tratamentos correspondentes à ausência e presença de inoculação de T. harzianum via tratamento de sementes (TS) do milho híbrido BG 7318VYH. O inóculo fúngico líquido foi produzido a partir da cepa não comercial TF13, da coleção de fungos benéficos do Departamento de Diagnóstico e Pesquisa Agropecuária (DDPA). O TS consistiu na adição de 10 mL de inóculo por quilograma de sementes na concentração de 4,2 x 10 7 esporos mL -1 . Utilizou-se densidade de 3,2 sementes por metro linear, espaçamento de 0,5 m e adubação correspondente a 373 kg ha -1 (NPK 5:20:20). A determinação dos dados de produtividade ocorreu aos 145 dias após a semeadura. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância e ao teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade. A inoculação de T. harzianum incrementou a produtividade em 40,56 sacos de milho/ha. Enquanto que a parcela de plantas não inoculadas produziu 13.800 kg ou 239 sacos de milho/ha, a parcela de plantas inoculadas resultou na produção de 16.232 Kg ou 270,56 sacos/ha. O uso de T. harzianum também resultou no aumento da produtividade e qualidade da segunda espiga de cada planta. A cepa de T. harzianum avaliada demonstrou potencial para a composição de bioinsumos para a agricultura.
