<p>La profundidad de observación del disco de Secchi es un indicador de la calidad del agua de los embalses, y ha sido demostrado que es posible relacionarla con otros parámetros ambientales para construir límites de predicción para nuevas observaciones. El objetivo de esta investigación fue establecer las relaciones entre la profundidad de disco de Secchi con la turbidez y Clorofila “a” para utilizarlas como base para estimar valores de turbidez y concentración de clorofila a partir de modelos matemáticos de ajuste de regresión simple. Este trabajo fue realizado en el periodo 2018 y 2019. Los resultados obtenidos a partir de las ecuaciones estimadas demuestran que es posible estimar y construir límites de predicción para nuevas observaciones de Turbidez y Clorofila en el embalse San Jacinto, mostrando un R<sup>2</sup> y un grado de efectividad de la relación Turbidez y Z<sub>sd</sub> de 92.73% y un R<sup>2</sup> en la relación Clorofila y Z<sub>sd</sub> de 96.05%. Conocer las relaciones entre los parámetros ambientales del agua, es fundamental para el seguimiento espacio- temporal, que permita una adecuada gestión de las aguas del embalse San Jacinto.</p>
