A diabetes mellitus é considerada um problema de saúde pública e uma de suas complicações, o pé diabético, é um grande desafio para os sistemas de saúde em todo o mundo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi compreender o nível de conhecimentos dos enfermeiros de ESF sobre as condutas, orientações e técnicas utilizadas em pacientes com pés diabéticos. Este artigo é uma revisão bibliográfica, onde foi realizada uma busca de trabalhos nas bases de dados Scielo, LILACS, Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde, PubMed e Google Acadêmico, utilizando os descritores “pé diabético”, “complicações do diabetes”, “cuidados de enfermagem” e “conhecimento”. Foram encontrados 8 trabalhos sobre a temática, apontando a importância do trabalho do enfermeiro no diagnóstico, tratamento e educação em saúde do pé diabético, no entanto, alguns estudos demonstraram a falta de conhecimento desses profissionais sobre o assunto, sendo importante que eles busquem conhecimentos a fim de reduzir a prevalência de consequências mais sérias do pé diabético como a amputação.
