Introdução: O acometimento torácico responde pela apresentação extra pélvica mais prevalente da endometriose, sendo o diafragma a região de maior comprometimento da doença. Uma variedade de sintomas é citada na literatura, sendo o fator catamenial o principal achado diferencial dessas manifestações. Objetivo: O objetivo desse artigo é descrever o impacto social da endometriose diafragmática na vida das pacientes e discorrer acerca da descrição da cirurgia de endometriose. Metodologia: O presente estudo fundamenta-se na revisão de literatura baseada em artigos selecionados pelos critérios de relevância e atualidade inseridos em banco de dados científicos. Resultados: O primeiro relato de endometriose envolvendo o parênquima pulmonar foi descrito em 1938 por Schwarz, enquanto em 1958 houve o primeiro relato de pneumotórax catamenial feito por Maurer et al. A ultrassonografia pélvica e transvaginal com preparo intestinal e a ressonância magnética (RM) com protocolos especializados são os principais métodos de imagem para detecção e estadiamento da endometriose. Conclusão: O tratamento cirúrgico é o único método curativo e a via minimamente invasiva deve ser a de escolha tendo em vista os menores riscos de contaminação, a melhor cicatrização e a reabilitação completa do paciente em um período inferior caso fosse realizada a laparotomia. Vale salientar que o paciente precisa de uma abordagem multidisciplinar visando uma completa recuperação e o retorno mais brevemente possível às atividades diárias.
RESUMOIntrodução: O tipo adenocarcinoma é responsável por cerca de 95% dos casos de câncer gástrico e pode ser diferenciado em intestinal e difuso, tendo como maior fator de risco a infecção por Helicobacter Pylori. Objetivos: Realizar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o adenocarcinoma gástrico (ACG) enfatizando sintomas, diagnóstico e a sua relação com o H. Pylori. Métodos e materiais: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica com artigos retirados do banco de dados do PubMed, UpToDate e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO). Resultados: O H. Pylori, considerado cancerígeno do Grupo I pela Organização Nacional de Saúde, é um dos principais fatores de risco pro ACG, tendo estudos que apontam sua relação à infecção pelas cepas CagA da bactéria. Sendo o público masculino em torno dos 40 anos na qual a infecção é mais prevalente, os portadores dessa bactéria apresentam risco de três a seis vezes maior de adquirir o adenocarcinoma. Os principais sintomas relatados são dor abdominal e perda de peso. O diagnóstico é baseado na história clínica do paciente, exames físicos, laboratoriais e de imagem, sendo confirmado apenas por biópsia histológica. Conclusão: Sendo o câncer gástrico o terceiro mais comum em homens e o quinto entre as mulheres, ele possui grande agravo na saúde pública, sendo considerado de grande importância estudos detalhados da relação de infecção pelo H. Pylori e da manifestação do ACG para que as mesmas sejam previamente tratadas e apresentem um melhor prognóstico.
Introdução: A endometriose é uma doença ginecológica estrogênio-dependente benigna e crônica. Devido aos inúmeros sintomas que pode causar, tem um impacto significativo na qualidade de vida das mulheres afetadas em diferentes áreas: na saúde mental, nas suas relações interpessoais e no trabalho. Objetivo: Este estudo busca compreender como a endometriose pode afetar a qualidade de vida das mulheres acometidas e o que pode ser feito para que a doença e suas repercussões se tornem mais suportáveis para a paciente. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura por meio de artigos publicados na base PubMed, Scielo e em revistas científicas entre 2006 e 2021. Resultados: A endometriose já foi associada a uma ampla gama de sintomas de alta intensidade incluindo dor, dor pélvica e infertilidade e, portanto, pode levar a uma diminuição da qualidade de vida do paciente. Essa perda pode incluir dor física, impactos psicológicos e econômicos, isolamento social, depressão, ansiedade e alterações de humor, pressão e irritabilidade. Portanto, que melhorar sua autonomia e consciência corporal, reduzir o estresse e realizar exercícios físicos melhoram a qualidade física do paciente com a doença. Além do diagnóstico, além do tratamento sintomático e físico, é importante a ajuda psicológica e multiprofissional aos pacientes. Conclusão: Portanto, fica claro que a condição de endometriose tem impacto negativo na qualidade de vida da mulher acometida. Além disso, é fundamental reiterar o acompanhamento individualizado e multidisciplinar desse paciente.
Introdução: A endometriose é uma patologia benigna, a qual acomete mulheres em idade fértil e é caracterizada pela presença de tecido endometriótico fora de seu local de origem. Essa doença pode ser encontrada tanto no meio endopélvico, o qual localiza-se nos ovários e tubas uterinas, como por exemplo, e no meio extrapélvico, como no tórax. Objetivo: O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar por meio de revisão da literatura científica o manejo de pacientes com endometriose torácica. Metodologia: Revisão de literatura a partir de artigos encontrados na base de dados, como National Center for Biotecnology Information (PubMed/Medline), Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo) e com publicações realizadas entre 2010 e 2022 e nos idiomas inglês ou português. Resultados: A Síndrome da Endometriose Torácica (SET) é uma condição rara, determinada pelo crescimento de tecido endometrial em órgãos torácicos. A clínica desta síndrome se manifesta basicamente pela hemoptise catamenial. Os sintomas são cíclicos, uma vez que a acompanha a periodicidade da menstruação, o qual é importante para determinar o diagnóstico. Exames de imagem como radiologia ou laboratoriais podem não apresentar alterações, desta forma, a histopatologia se torna imprescindível para determinar o diagnóstico final da doença. Conclusão: É importante ressaltar que apesar da endometriose não ter cura, pode-se ser feito o controle de sintomas, o qual ajuda na melhora da qualidade de vida das pacientes. Desta forma, o conhecimento das particularidades desta doença associado a detecção dos sintomas e o diagnóstico precoce traz benefícios para as pacientes acometidas.
