This investigation aimed at identifying nurse's competencies necessary to screen blood donors, from those recommended by the International Council of Nurses. A qualitative, descriptive case study was developed at the Hemotherapy Service blood bank of a teaching hospital in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. Twenty Five interviews performed by five nurses hired by the service were observed. For observations analysis standard adequacy was used. Six competencies of the professional, ethics and legal area and eleven from care provision and management were identified. Competencies identified in this study will serve as a basis for practice and to prepare generalist nurses to perform clinic screening of blood donors.
Objetivo: Contextualizar a práxis do enfermeiro e equipe de enfermagem hiperbárica no cuidado de pessoas com lesão de pele, a partir das maneiras de produção do cuidado dos próprios profissionais. Métodos: Pesquisa original de cunho qualitativo, sendo a coleta das informações realizada por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e observação participante com a equipe de enfermagem de um instituto de oxigenoterapia hiperbárica, em setembro de 2016. As informações foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados: Do corpus da análise resultaram três categorias temáticas: fui aprendendo aos poucos, o que a enfermagem faz aqui, de quem cuidamos; desvelando informações relevantes sobre como enfermeiro e equipe colocam em ação a Enfermagem Hiperbárica, em uma práxis que corrobora as competências da profissão. Conclusão: A práxis do enfermeiro/equipe de Enfermagem Hiperbárica deu-se em distintos processos de trabalho: preparar o ambiente terapêutico e a pessoa com lesão de pele para a aplicação da terapêutica, garantir a segurança e conforto durante os procedimentos realizados, monitorar a sessão hiperbárica, zelar pelo cumprimento da mesma, prevenir complicações e assegurar estabilidade geral ao término da sessão hiperbárica; sendo um campo de atuação e um recurso terapêutico para a Enfermagem Dermatológica com grande potencial de melhora para lesões de pele.Palavras-chave: oxigenação hiperbárica, Enfermagem, assistência à saúde, ferimentos e lesões, pele.
ntrodução: A pandemia causada pela COVID19 trouxe um outro problema de saúde pública, as lesões de pele. Pacientes acometidos de forma grave ficam longos períodos internados em UTI, muita das vezes em posição prona, com muitos dispositivos médicos, desnutridos e hemodinamicamente instável, o que muita das vezes impede a mobilização adequada. Isto leva ao desenvolvimento de Lesões por Pressão nas áreas de apoio em seu mais avançado estágio. Objetivo: relatar um caso clínico de um paciente com lesão por pressão acometido pela COVID-19 submetido ao tratamento de Oxigenoterapia Hiperbárica. Material e Métodos: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo do tipo relato de caso. A coleta de dados ocorreu no período de maio a julho de 2021 em prontuário eletrônico. Foi convidado a participar um paciente adulto, hígido, acometido pela COVID-19, que desenvolveu uma lesão por pressão complexa e extensa em região sacra que desenvolveu durante o tempo de internação na UTI por 21 dias em um hospital de referência na Cidade de Porto Alegre. Após alta hospitalar, o paciente iniciou os cuidados com ferida em uma clínica especializada em tratamento de lesões de pele. O tratamento adjuvante indicado para acelerar o processo de cicatrização, associado ao curativo simples, foi a oxigenoterapia hiperbárica. Resultados: a lesão por pressão era de estágio 4 em região sacra, extensa, e em seu leito encontravam-se tecido de granulação e desvitalizado. Ferida cavitária, exsudato serossanguinolento em grande quantidade com odor fétido, bordas irregulares, pele perilesional com sinais de hipertrofia. Foram realizadas 45 sessões de oxigenoterapia hiperbárica, juntamente da troca de curativo diário com gaze impregnada com PHMB, apresentando cicatrização completa ao término do tratamento. Conclusão: observou-se a eficácia da terapia de oxigenoterapia hiperbárica no tratamento de lesão por pressão no paciente do estudo com COVID-19 por acelerar o processo de cicatrização da lesão. Ressaltam-se a importância da avaliação do grupo multiprofissional, o uso de um curativo ideal e todas a condições clínicas do paciente para o desfecho positivo para o caso.
