A reabilitação pós-operatória da reconstrução do LCA visa recuperar a mobilidade da articulação do joelho, reduzir o edema e a dor, além de restabelecer a função deste paciente. No entanto, diferentes tipos de tratamento podem ser empregados para esse fim. O objetivo, neste estudo, foi comparar o tratamento cinesioterápico e o hidrocinesioterápico quanto ao ganho de ADM, redução do edema e do quadro álgico, além da melhora funcional nesses pacientes. Foram realizadas as seguintes mensurações: goniometria e perimetria, aplicação da Escala Visual Analógica de Dor e do Questionário de Lysholm. Participaram do estudo 12 pacientes, divididos em dois grupos conforme o protocolo de tratamento, todos aproximadamente no 15 dia de PO. Os dados foram analisados estatisticamente, utilizando o teste não paramétrico de Wilcoxon na análise comparativa dos valores em cada grupo, e o teste paramétrico “t” Student para comparação dos valores entre os diferentes grupos de tratamento, ambos com nível de significância de p < 0,05. Com base nos resultados, ao se compararem o tratamento cinesioterápico e o hidrocinesioterápico, verificou-se que ambos trouxeram benefícios na redução do edema, ganho de ADM, redução do quadro álgico e melhora funcional (p0,05). Concluiu-se que ambos os tratamentos foram benéficos nos critérios avaliados.
