In this paper we find different types of black holes for the Born-Infeld extended new massive gravity. Our solutions include (un)charged warped (A)dS black holes for four and six derivative expanded action. We also look at the black holes in unexpanded BI action. In this paper we have added Maxwell, Maxwell-Chern-Simons and gravitational Chern-Simons terms to Born-Infeld extended new massive gravity and we have found different types of (non)extremal charged black holes. For each black hole we find mass, angular momentum, entropy and temperature. Since our solutions are asymptotically AdS or warped-AdS, we infer central charges of dual CFTs by using Cardy's formula. Computing conserved charges associated to asymptotic symmetry transformations confirms calculation of central charges. For CFTs dual to asymptotically AdS solutions we find left central charges from Cardy's formula, while conserved charge approach gives both left and right central charges. For CFTs dual to asymptotically warped-AdS solutions, left and right central charges are equal when we have Maxwell-Chern-Simons term but they have different values when gravitational Chern-Simons term is included. 1 ahmad@ipm.ir, a-ghodsi@ferdowsi.um.ac.ir

In this letter we investigate the throttling process of the charged Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes in the rainbow gravity. In the extended phase space of these black holes, the cosmological constant plays the role of a varying thermodynamic pressure and the black hole mass is identified with the thermodynamic enthalpy. We derive exact expressions for the Joule-Thomson coefficient and the inversion temperature in terms of black hole parameters and constants of rainbow gravity analytically, and then perform a numerical analysis for the isenthalpic and inversion curves of charged AdS black holes. Our calculations show all quantities are sensitive to rainbow parameter η. We also discuss the isenthalpic curves for different values of the black hole mass.

We investigate the $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ -like flows for non-linear electrodynamic theories in D(=2n)-dimensional spacetime. Our analysis is restricted to the deformation problem of the classical free action by employing the proposed $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ operator from a simple integration technique. We show that this flow equation is compatible with $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ deformation of a scalar field theory in D = 2 and of a non-linear Born-Infeld type theory in D = 4 dimensions. However, our computation discloses that this kind of $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ flow in higher dimensions is essentially different from deformation that has been derived from the AdS/CFT interpretations. Indeed, the gravity that may be exist as a holographic dual theory of this kind of effective Born-Infeld action is not necessarily an AdS space. As an illustrative investigation in D = 4, we shall also show that our construction for the $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ operator preserves the original SL(2, ℝ) symmetry of a non-supersymmetric Born-Infeld theory, as well as $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 2 supersymmetric model. It is shown that the corresponding SL(2, ℝ) invariant action fixes the relationship between the $$ T\overline{T} $$ T T ¯ operator and quadratic form of the energy-momentum tensor in D = 4.

The general theory of relativity is currently the accepted theory of gravity and as such, a large repository of test results has been obtained since its inception in 1915. However, in this paper we only focus on what are considered as the main tests but in non-commutative (NC) geometries. Using the coordinate coherent state formalism, we calculate the gravitational redshift, deflection, and time delay of light, separately, for NC inspired Schwarzschild and Reissner–Nordström black holes. We show the NC predictions have different behavior than the general relativity. We also provide an upper bound on the NC parameter by comparing the NC corrections with the accuracies of gravitational measurements in the case of typical primordial black holes produced in the early Universe. In this regard, we use observational data for the scale factor a at the end of inflation to obtain physical satisfactory results.

Recently, the ModMax theory has been proposed as a unique conformal nonlinear extension of electrodynamics. We have shown in [1] that this modification can be reproduced a marginal T T -like deformation from pure Maxwell theory. Further, this deformation is solved by using a perturbative approach. In this letter, we will investigate another ModMax-like deformation for a two-dimensional (2D) scalar field theory. In this regard, we first find a marginal T T -like deformation in two dimensions and then reproduce the MM-like Lagrangian from a multiple 2D scalar field theory.

We consider AdS3 and warped AdS3 vacua in new massive gravity and study the highest weight modes and general propagating modes as a set of solutions for the linearized equations of motion. We observed that depending on the choice of gauge there are two types of solutions. We show that for warped AdS3 vacuum, the massless modes which appear only in the harmonic gauge have zero energy density and do not get higher curvature corrections. By computing the energy density it can be shown that all massive modes have negative energy density. Our computations prove that the massive modes in warped AdS3 cannot be excluded by an appropriate boundary condition and this makes the theory unstable.
