A commercial data-visualization package, AVS, and database are used as the basis for a powerful and highly flexible acoustic data analysis system. The system is easy to use and can be modified by the user to incorporate novel visualization and analysis capabilities as required. Multi-frequency ping-by-ping or integrated data from a variety of echo-sounders may be viewed and manipulated within the system. Here, we describe the main features of the system and illustrate how it may be used to mark, transform, analyse, and compare dual-frequency acoustic data.1996 International Council for the Exploration of the Sea
Voyeur is a prototype system that facilitates the construction of application-specific, visual views of parallel programs. These views range from textual views showing the contents of variables to graphical maps of the state of the computational domain of the program. These views have been instrumental in quickly detecting bugs that would have been difficult to detect otherwise.
This demo will give an introduction to Opus, the Open Platform for Urban Simulation, an Open Source platform for building simulations of land use, activity-based travel demand, and dynamic traffic assignment. It is a result of an international collaboration of research teams working on integrated land use, transportation and environmental modeling. We have developed a new version of UrbanSim -a simulation system for modeling urban development, originally demonstrated at the Digital Government 2004 Conference -as a component of Opus. We will demonstrate usage of UrbanSim for different stakeholder types, from modelers to policy makers.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
