Los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (SDG), impulsados por Naciones Unidas, presentan una serie de metas a alcanzar en el año 2030. Para la consecución de los SDG es fundamental su incorporación en la enseñanza con el objeto de involucrar a los jóvenes y futuros agentes de cambio en su asimilación y aplicación. Las novelas gráficas, a partir de su análisis crítico, permiten reflexionar sobre un gran número de problemáticas y cómo éstas y los lugares geográficos son representados. Se presenta una actividad docente llevada a cabo en la enseñanza superior, en la que el alumnado examina nueve novelas gráficas con el objeto de analizar, desde una perspectiva geográfica, los diferentes SDG, observando la interrelación e interdependencia entre ellos y los contrastes y similitudes entre "realidad" y ficción. Mediante el análisis de diferentes problemáticas socioeconómicas y socio-ecológicas actuales y su debate en el aula, se desarrolla la capacidad de análisis, reflexión y discusión y se estimula el pensamiento crítico del alumnado desde una perspectiva cercana y creativa. El estudiantado se muestra motivado y satisfecho con la actividad, a pesar de las dificultades para desentrañar las diferentes problemáticas presentes en las novelas gráficas, habiendo incrementado sus conocimientos sobre los SDG, que eran, antes de esta experiencia, prácticamente nulos.
El estudio realiza una búsqueda sobre las intersecciones que se producen producidas en el cine y en el cómic a partir de un texto fuente como Soldados de Salamina (2001) de Javier Cercas. Se abordan las prácticas reescriturales, los intersticios, las permutas y los cambios operacionales más destacados que se producen en el film Soldados de Salamina (2003) de David Trueba y en la novela gráfica Soldados de Salamina (2019) de José Pablo García. En los tres textos la memoria tiene un sentido y una representación distintas, pero los tres enfrentan el desarrollo de la trama como una indagación autónoma y se produce un diálogo que enriquece las reflexiones que se derivan del conjunto de cada una de las manifestaciones, estimulando el debate que propicia los diferentes puntos de vista y el enfoque de los tres objetos de estudio analizados.
La convergencia mediática y la transmedialidad han supuesto que los mundos de ficción desarrollados originalmente en las novelas gráficas tiendan an expandirse en medios más actuales como los videojuegos, donde los entornos y los personajes se vuelven jugables y los elementos de la narración se entrelazan con las mecánicas y las reglas del juego. Este trabajo tiene como objeto estudiar la saga de novelas gráficas Blacksad (Díaz Canales y Guarnido, 2001) y el videojuego Blacksad: Under the Skin (Pendulo Studios, 2019) con el fin de arrojar luz sobre cómo la narración de las novelas gráficas se complementa con la del videojuego. Además, indaga en las prestaciones específicas de los videojuegos, que amplifican la experiencia del universo de Blacksad. Tanto la saga de novelas gráficas como el videojuego se analizan desde las perspectivas de la ecología de los medios, los game studies, los fundamentos de los mundos transmediales y la estética de los nuevos medios. El cómic y el videojuego conviven en una lógica de transmedialidad e intertextualidad que sumerge a los usuarios/jugadores en un mundo ficticio cuya extensión crece a medida que interactúan con sus entornos, personajes y códigos éticos, así como con las diferentes plataformas y contenidos generados por la comunidad de fans o usuarios.
Los primeros años como creador de historietas de Antonio Altarriba son esenciales para entender algunos de los mejores hallazgos narrativos y estéticos del cómic español de finales del siglo XX. Además, la producción de Altarriba entre 1977 y 1991, en colaboración con diversos artistas gráficos, refleja algunas de las obsesiones estéticas y de las huellas de la historia del arte en la producción temprana del autor. Será el inicio de la construcción de un imaginario propio tan fértil como sugerente. Esta investigación rastrea esas citas y amplía el estudio del corpus secuencial de Altarriba, para apuntar algunas de las claves que han contribuido a señalarle como uno de los autores españoles más destacados de la narración gráfica contemporánea.
